The NVIDIA RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti are set to be announced on May 31st after various delays. The two cards will then launch sometime in June with the review embargoes set as June 2nd for the RTX 3070 Ti and June 9th for the RTX 3080 Ti. The RTX 3070 Ti features the GA104-400 GPU 6144 CUDA cores and 8 GB GDDR6X memory. The RTX 3080 Ti will use the GA102-225 and include 10240 CUDA cores paired with 12 GB GDDR6X memory, We have already seen some retailers list custom RTX 3080 Ti cards from Gigabyte and MSI with prices ranging from 1338 USD to 2257 USD however these are likely placeholder values. The cards should be officially available to purchase sometime after the review embargoes lift in June.

should be.
available.
astronomical price which will then be doubled in a few weeks after the "availability release" (50 for Europe, 100 for Northern US ? maybe? if we're lucky? :D ;) )

Launching in June and landing in a mining rig the next day of the same month.

Edit: Scalpers will have the lot.

These prices are insane. Just a decade ago, I bought the top end GTX 580 for £400 and that was already very expensive. I expected that the top cards would stay at around this price, adjusted for inflation, as I could now afford the top end. But no, prices have skyrocketed to astronomical levels now, making it not worth it even if I could afford it. Mining is only part of the reason too. NVIDIA have simply increased prices and I can't believe that it's all down to the costs of manufacturing, either.

I bought my RTX 2080 SUPER as a stop-gap card back in March 2020 to get away from my ancient 780 Ti which just didn't cut it anymore, while I waited for the 30xx cards to come out. Looks like it's gonna become my permanent card now and if I ever get to upgrade it sometime in the future, two, to five years away, it's gonna end up only being to a midrange card of a much newer generation, which will offer better performance and features simply due to the generational gain. This sucks big time and is not the kind of thing that an enthusiast wants to be forced into.

Scalpers and miners assemble. No gamers shall have these cards.

3, 2, 1... Everything sold out in seconds.

Us gamers left back with another salty taste in our mouth. Those gamers there actually gets one have to pay up to twice the msrp.

All gamers should boycott AMD and Nvidia ie don't buy over inflated prices from any retailer until they sort out this decisive means of punishing gamers

They pushed this back for so long that by the time you can get one, the RTX4000 will be launched. The RTX3000 series is now irrelevant in my eyes, as it's just not available, at least, if you are not willing to pay scalpers running bots 24/7 to buy them all up.

When can we start seeing some leaked specifications on the RTX4000, will it use a chiplet design like AMDs upcoming RDNA 3? I am sure this series will suffer from the same problem, but at least it will be fun to speculate on newer tech and what performance numbers it can reach, instead of watching paper launches and "supply issue" articles.

It doesn't matter, you'll have plenty of miners to fill the gap.

Launching in June and you'll be able to buy it in 2022 or 2023 from miners, when this wave of crypto mining dies down.

Well, the difficulty is increasing dramatically at this point and if nVidia's mining limiter doesn't get bypassed somehow, you will probably see an RTX3080Ti make around $5 a day. There are also new miners from Bitmain dedicated to mining ETH.

Anyways, it's all speculation, but if I were someone that wanted to mine, I would steer well clear at this point in time.

Yeah, this crypto market is already a bubble since february and can pop anytime, the first whale to take profit and crash this market will be the winner, the rest who will not sell at top will be called suckers in years to come.

Damn guys. It even already got a $49,75 discount!

Now where is that buy button

Sadly people are greedy and at thr same time not smart enough. That will never happen because they are boot lickers.

These Ampere cards should be officially available to purchase sometime??? What are you Drinking ??

How ? They can't buy them anyway, it's not like they have a choice.

So does the price of ETH which offsets this.

The specs of the these new Ti's (mid lifecycle refresh) are pretty much the same as what I predicted when the 30 series were initially announced except I was expecting nv to double the onboard memory, but they haven't.

Unless the new mining limiter works, no gamers will be able to have their hands on these cards in June.

I'll say it is clear PR trash talk about limiting :(

Time to buy a console.

Time to buy a console.
At double MSRP and if you can even find one in stock yes.

Same chips... and no resale value because its very clear this gen is not going places. There's barely any content.

I agree

This whole gen is a waste. No good release titles or no titles at all on launch. No availability of consoles.
