What are you playing?

Half of the achievements so far. :)

Days Gone. Finished story, went sightseeing. A gem of an exploration game with a huge world. It's got a few too many unskippable pseudo-cutscene 'walking simulator' moments, followed by skippable movie cutscenes (which I then often skipped because I prefer to play games, not watch them). Apart from that - I loved it. Funny reading about all the quibbles with current AAA game graphics, because the visuals and performance of Days Gone are superb. Now I'm sad it's over.

Aaaand here we went, finished Crysis Remastered at Delta :)

I also skipped the cheesy cutscenes, especially those with Deacon and Sarah, but as you say, the rest of the game is a tech masterpiece. I liked it so much that I started again in Game+.

I finally met the one recognized top tier player I'd been waiting to in The Eliminator on FH5, Bob Maloubier73. Ended up each winning once in perfect form and losing once due to an unmemorable performance.

Reasoning for desiring him as opponent largely relates to being vocal against the cheaters that have seen me fall into a horrendous slump. While improving at tangible and intangible skills that make it hard to give up and play something else.

Just won my first ever draft tournament for a new launch expansion in Magic the Gathering, see my post here if you wish to be blinded by caps lock being turned on. No, I will not edit the caps lock out.

Been playing my english copy of Final Fantasy 5 for SNES.

I got to a fight with ExDeath and Galuf dies...

I am annoyed by this........ very annoyed....
I've spent hours leveling him up and mastering all of the classes. And now he's dead. :banghead:

Had to put the controller down...

I sympathize that Galuf is now passed. Putting the controller down as a punitive measure for this failure is severe to say the least.

Sense you were quite gutted. No offense intended. :)

Been playing plenty of Halls of Torment. I've been experimenting a lot with the options the potions offer. Certain things work, certain things just don't. Arcane Rift is pretty OP if you focus on it... Flame Strike is just plain unfair. It can nuke the whole screen.

Gutted might be pushing things a bit much.

None taken. No worries.

An update to that situation, not to spoil it for anyone who has interest in playing the game in future, the situation does resolve itself in a way that I should have both seen coming and remembered as I've played through this game before...

So all is well in the world of Final Fantasy V, sort of. ExDeath is still alive and the over world has changed. OH, and now the party has lost Lenna, the younger daughter of King Tycoon and my White Magic primary... On the upside, I found the airship! Just have to figure out how to get to it.

Playing NBA 2K23 on PS4 ...
It was free, so I tried it, and for now i've some fun with it
I'm a total newbie in modern BB, last times i've checked NBA was 20 years ago :)
So created a player, joining the Utah Jazz (I still remember the duo Malone / Stockton)
A brilliant season (only 4 defeats - normal mode make it easy), now in playoffs, already put aside the OC Thunder, send King Lebron to L.A. and now we're against Minnesota and their pack of Wolves !
Still, i do miss the old teams and the old logos too :)
Something strange with the career mode, there is a rivality with cinematics again Shep Owens from Miami, you've got talks with your team (manager, wife ...) like the the story mode in some FIFA ... but now , nothing more of this, nada ... like the "story" isn't finished ...
So, the game is pretty fun, could be technical i guess, but i play it like a arcade / sim one.
Like the MP too, easy to find 3V3 (or more) matchs, they're quick and brings some fun, even if it's the 3pts shoot paradise, and everybody with their mics' on calls you "Bro" :)
I don't think i'll jump to the next edition, it's enough for entertaining me from time to times.

having a blast with this game... and it has a free demo on steam too, highly recommend! very innovative turn based combat, its not like turn based combat like you are thinking... i was pleasantly surprised by the extra interaction it offers (especially if you pick blue as starting character and use boomerang)

After the shenanigans with Hero Pass on the main game, I recently stumbled across a RuneScape private server that can easily be self-hosted and played in single-player.

This is definitely more nostalgic for me than OSRS since I started playing in August 2008. This is based on the January 2009 version of the game.

It even features special player bots that collect resources and sell them on the GE and other player bots to make the world feel more alive.

It's far from feature complete; many quests are still unimplemented, but it seems to be in active development.

Have you played Live-a-Live remake? If so, what do you think of it?
I personally think SNES original was a very underrated game, but I'm not a big turn based RPG buff, just throwing it out to those who might be.

never heard of it until now, which surprises me, thought I knew every game out there. i will add this to my wishlist thanks! Deck verified too!!! :rockout:

Just finished Legend of Dragoon last week on my modded PS3 as it plays PS1 ISOs, now I bought a PS4 and bought it from PSN so currently replaying it. Nothing beats achievement/trophy hunting from good games :)

Anyone still playing Assetto Corsa must check out Targo Florio 73 Full Circuit. So good!
Watch in 1080p!

I have never understood that. Just doesn't seem appealing.
EDIT: No offense or anything.
Same, most of the time I don't even check the achievement list in the games I play.
But then again ppl play games for various reasons so its all good. :)

I think today I'm finishing Serious Sam Siberian Mayhem, this game could be finished in a few hours pretty much but hey I'm a slow gamer now.
ssmayhem2.jpg

Blowing up hordes of aliens/monsters with a tank? Yeah don't mind me if I do.:D 'yeah I'm easily amused like that, fun times'

Wait ... this screen is from a Serious Sam game ?

Times have changed ! :)

My first thoughts too.
The second was 'wtf is an Abrams doing in Siberia'

Well, SS 4 had a popemobile in Vatican and it was a huge ass mech like something from a Mechwarrior game.
The tank part wasn't long just 1 zone in the same chapter, most of the game is still on foot with handheld guns like the old SS games.

By the way, is it worth it ?
Really liked the 2 first episodes, (so : 1st and 2nd encounter), not so much SS2, and SS3 was alright.
So this Siberian Mayhem, good or not ? :)

Its kinda fun imo but its a short game, like 5 chapters only since it happens sometime along the SS 4 story but as a standalone game.
I'm playing it on Gamepass so eh I was like why not since I did finish SS 4 earlier this year.
SS 4 picks up slow but it gets better at around half way something similar to how SS 3 was.

Tho I agree nothing really beats first and second encounter those are my favs. 'played them multiple times over the years and I still love it:)'

Also a fair warning that SS 4 and Siberian has performance issues for some 'if not a lot' ppl since the engine is just dated/not well optimized I guess. With tweaks here and there I'm more or less fine but with lots of stuff on the screen it does drop no matter what.
