The Long Dark is 90% off on Steam. Solid game, and has always been one of my all time favorites in the past. Highly recommend it - I put over 2800 hours in it.

With the 4.0.6 update, they have done some optimizing that really make the GFX smooth and game experience better!
Highly recommended!

Also the expansions(DLCs) are all on sale too. There is a lot of them and they add a lot to the story and overall experience. Give the base game a go first though!
This one if a freebie and is a very solid advancement in the story.

To be fair, it has gotten a lot better. There is also the option to launch games directly from a shortcut.
