Radeon HD 3870 X2 at CES

I believe I have the same freezer and its on a x2 6400............not intel. Or am I nuts?

They have said that it was possable to run 4 of them at one time. They just need to make a driver to do that:D

how much power would that draw though? i'd imagine you would need AT LEAST 1500w...

doubt it. you're talking about 8 cores that draw 105w each at stock settings. that's 840w for your graphics cards alone.
throw in a quad barcelona or yorkfield, that's another 150w.
you're already looking at 990w.

yeah haha... youre definitely far past the point of diminishing returns there.

So two cards would attach with the crossfire bridge and the other two thru the PCI-e bus??
