Specs:
Dual Pentium III-S 1.4 OC'd to 1.6Ghz
MSI 9105 (VIA VT8653 NB) supporting DDR
2Gb OCZ DDR400 running DDR300 (FSB151Mhz)

Samsung SpinPoint ATA133 120Gb
TurtleBeach Vortex 8820 Audio
Sony DVD Writer
Windows 2000 Pro SP4 Rollup 1!!!

Mods:
Many HS added to MSI9105! 7900GS is underclocked to 432/324Mhz 3D/2D Core with 625Mhz Mem. The Heat Spreaders have been removed from these Tualatin P3's and Evercool Heatpipes added http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=HPA-C715 This box runs fine up to 1.666Ghz, however the NIC can't handle the PCI clock over FSB151Mhz. The PCI clock is OC'd from 33 to 38Mhz.

If you don't believe, look for CountryHam or Temujin on the FEAR MP servers! Get ready to be TRAINED! This machine runs 3DMark06 at 3638!! http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=12381596 [CHECK IT OUT, ONLY 1 LIKE IT AT FUTUREMARK OUT OF 3+MILLION] Thanks for viewing this AWESOME RELIC! (In case you are wondering - yes the mouse still has a ball!)

dude thats just awsome.

in almost got a BX440 based box for a setup like this sdram though i love these old things!

whats funny is that these P3s will outperform P4s up to about 2.4ghz

very nice. Still white and clean throughout. very classic look. nostalgia seeps in. Im in the 90s! ^^ 8/10 from me!

Well, considering that Pentium Ms were basically modified P3 architecture chips, and those outperformed Pentium 4s left right and centre, especially in gaming, and even beat A64s at times, then it's easy to see the P3 still being a powerful little processor.

Always wanted a dual P3 system for running a server. They can run off low-wattage PSUs, and can run pretty well under passive heatsinks (ran a 1GHz P3 under a passive 'sink just fine, with a couple of 120mm fans in the case creating airflow).

Hell yeah it still pwns!

P3-S, great chips.

i personally would want to get a set of via C7 chips for this kinda thing most 700mhz chips can do a 100% oc

"The Skulltrail of '87"

OMG LETS PUT QX9770's in dem

I voted 8/10 because:

Loved The P3 era. Still have my Dual P3 system somewhere lying around. I need to make it as a server instead of the P4 system i have now.

Gave it a 6 just cos thats a Great case to start modding on i had a vision lol.

I have to say, I don't understand why they don't do with current CPUs what they did with P3s. Add the ability to go the SMP route with mainstream CPUs. Sure, it means companies can get cheap, fast, multi-processor systems, without resorting to Xeons, but consumers would likely buy more Intel stuff that way. I can see people buying two cheaper Q9400s, or what-not and putting them together in a cheaper version of a Skulltrail motherboard.

The beige beast good job brings back found memory's of a simpler time when I could not afford a floppy drive with a face plate on it :D
6/10

Good (long life) floppy drives are hard to find...this one was salvaged from an old HP Vectra - HP liked to integrate face plates into the front fascias at the time.

Thanks for the great vote/comment.
