Well, it's Monday and still no Clear Sky. This is the first and last time I ever use LoveFilm, I'm massively disappointed and even more pissed off for the amount of time they're wasting. Apparently it was dispatched on the 6th, when they should have sent it before the 5th.

I have an english one,all text menus and dialouge that russian convert works perfect.Its a bit jumpy the fps though,even with my card at 700/1100 i think i will have to tweak the settings a bit.

I will be buying it,i just really like to look before i buy,i already have stalker on my steam account so this will join it.

I really also think they should release games at the same time everywere,having differant release dates for differant countries just promotes piracy.

I sometimes 'try before I buy' but that's usually with music. I whole-heartedly agree with you on the different release dates, as a friend of mine said last night, you would have thought in this digital age that we'd all be able to get what we wanted on the day of it's release.

I however, like having a physical copy of whatever I buy, saying that I don't mind having films on my HDD.

Same here. I wrote a ltter to Trading Standards about not letting me cancel it though... said if I go and buy it now, I can send it back to them and they have to refund me + no restocking fee. So I'm assuming you can do that too, Innocent.

A few tips for those still waiting

the Updater tab does not detect the 1.01 patch - you will need to d/l this manually. Also, it rather confusingly updates the in-game number from 1.5.01 to 1.5.03

After starting the game for the first time, make sure you hit quicksave after the cutscnes have finished. If you forget, and get killed you have to start a new game and sit through it all again. Not life threatening, but extremely tedious.

Unless I have been trying some ill-advised OCing, my PC never BSODs. I have had 2 in about 2 hours of total gameplay with this. It does not appear that the patch has cured all its ills so you may need to be patient.

After playing Stalker:Oblivion Lost in anticipation of this arriving, I really miss my SA-80

thats a good idea, when i get pissed at things i tend to tell people about it otherwise things stay the same

i want to get the game but im worried about it being unoptimised it seems like its at the optimisation level the original stalker was at launch

the lighting looks nice but rest of the game seems pretty similar

Hmmm.... that's good to know. If it doesn't come by Saturday then I'll buy a copy when I'm go out. Fuggin' LoveFilm aren't getting anymore of my money ever again.

I expect the fact it's 1.5.xx is due to the fact the X-Ray engine is now 1.5, so it could updates to the engine not the game's build. Just an idea.

Another bad thing is, my phone-line is now completely dead let alone my ADSL.

Update: Most badly coded game ever IMO. I have now removed it from my PC and dont intend to re-install it unitl I get some guarantees that that publisher has patched it to a playable standard, or the mod community does similar. Lost count of the BSODs and systems freezes this games has brought on, and I know Im not alone. A friend of mine is having to re-install his OS, and another has lost half his USB ports as a result of havign to switch his PC off at the wall. Extremely dissapointed, gonna go and finish Stalker: Oblivion mod now......
