  • I absolutely Love, love, my new comforter. It's a dark gray and has a velvet-like outer. It's not too warm, has the right "weight" AND, it fit nicely on my bike under my bungee strap cargo net. I stayed in bed an extra half hour, I was sooooo comfy. I am completely surprised and delighted with it!:D
Ok, gonna go get some smokes, then go to Target for a new comforter. The one I have is a bit used up and isn't worth sending to the dry cleaners. The Temp dropped to 77F w/ 67% humidity, should be a pleasant ride. Oh, and rush hour should be cleared out!
Just got back from the uniform shop we use for work. I stopped at a nearby coffee shop for a spell and google mapped a different way home. Turned out that was the ticket!
Well, looks like today is going to be an indoor day, unless I make a late night run for cigarettes (most likely). If nothing else, it should cool off a little. Meanwhile, I am gonna continue to sit here, in my undies, and maybe do some reading, while the laundry runs. OK, sounds like the new plan. ;)
I am all showered and shaved, ate a late lunch, so not hungry. I have been doing some laundry, 3rd load is in the dryer. I am gonna go to the store, for a couple things, but then... It's still 90F and humid out, So, roaming around on the bike would be a sweat fest. I guess I will just stay in tonight, maybe get some Door Dash, later.

I am gonna walk the Skyway's to the store, maybe stop at the bar for a couple. I will have to walk the streets back because the Skyway's are still closing at 7. Hell, I am probably gonna miss my window, since the shirt I wanna wear is in the dryer and it is quarter to 7, now! Oh well, sweaty walk, in the near future.

Yesterday, was a nice ride to and from work. Let's hope to copy/paste it to today's ride. Well, and have a pleasant, uneventful evening, in what was once "Crazy Shit Bird" Central. More about that, another time.
Any who, I've gotta' get ready and hop on the horse.
Made it home in time! Already showered and had a couple smokes. Bike is mostly clean, wheels need some scrubbing, need to buy a brush and some aluminum polish. Until then, it'll do. Oh, it just started storming out! Half an hour earlier than predicted. Damn, it just started hailing!! Maybe big pea sized hail for the past 5 minutes, Thunder sounds cool, though!
Ive got 5 hours between now and when it's supposed to Thunderstorm. Cutting it a little tight ;) but, I think I can maybe go wash my bike and get back in time. Might be cutting it close. :fear:
I took a nap, earlier, nut I am still tired. I think, tomorrow, I will go wash my bike, it's lookin' a little dirty and dusty.
For now, though, it's beddie bye time! :)
    Guten Nacht TPU!!:lovetpu:
Got 2 loads done and a nice ride in. Stopped at Pizza Luce for a late dinner and now it is time for bed
    Good Night TPU! :lovetpu:
Just got back from the chiropractor, feels good! I made it there OK but, got a little lost on the way home. I don't mind much, riding my Motorcycle, plus it's a nice day out. Glad I stopped for Fuel, last night, or it could have been a nightmare!

Now, I think it's either laundry time or, go for another ride somewhere. Maybe I'll throw a load in, or two, and plan to leave later when the temp drops a little. That way I get a dose of both! Sounds like a plan.
    :lovetpu:
Got home from my 16 hour day, about a half hour ago. Tired but, want to watch a YouTube vid, or two. Then to bed!
    Good Night TPU
    :lovetpu:
Got to work and was asked to work a double tomorrow, Monday. Said yes despite myself because the other guy, the dipshit, said he had to "check on my benefits," because this company dropped the ball.

However, he's had 2 months, so far, to "check his benefits," the rest of us have already resolved this issue 2 months ago. Dude is about as useless as useless is. Anyway, I will get some overtime. Just hope there are no more surprises this week!

So, got home, about, 15 minutes ago. Already preparing for bed. I have to leave at 6am and get up about 5:30. That's a little more than 5 hours in bed. :(
    Good Night TPU!:lovetpu:
Well, after a 12 hour shift, that ended 4 hours ago, I am now sleepy. I have another one tomorrow and expect to be sleepier, sooner, tomorrow night. So, Good Night TPU!!
    :lovetpu:
did nothing today but, I watched some YouTube and did a load of laundry. Now, off to bed, Good Night TPU.
Got Tonight off, as expected. Picked up a couple of packages from the drop box, next door. AND...I've been a little worried about Winter storage for my Motorcycle. So, called the place I was going to store my last bike, didn't happen, bike was totaled(long story, check my posts 3 years back).

After a few weeks, or Month, I will start going into the Gym, at work, or the Gym here in the building, depending on the day. I want to have a certain level of fitness back, that has been lacking, since my accident. I want to sleep better and feel better, like I used to. So, gotta get back on the Horse. I feel about halfway there, since the purchase of the Motorbike but, Next step will right the ship.

Well, I suddenly have nothing to say...I guess I'll go back to laundry. I should go lube up my Kawee's chain, maybe between loads of laundry...
Well, looks like I may have a bit of relief from the grind! I am now off on Wed.'s. Almost 3 years, I have worked Wed. evenings. It has been an overtime shift every week. Until, further notice, I have it off. Then, next Month, or late this Month, The Overtime will begin again. Boss is having surgery. At least 3 weeks out.

    congratulations!
Speaking of my new route, it is about 2 miles longer but, is a faster route and a smoother route. Traffic is mostly ok, only busy for about a mile and a half. I cross 94 and University (two busy intersections), heading North past The MN State Fairgrounds, I will have to alter the route in Aug. when the Fair is on.

It's faster because, once I clear the busy area, it's nearly 50mph the rest of the way. It's slow going once I hit downtown, 9 blocks of stoplights, but it's about 10 minutes faster, unless I stop for fuel and talk to strangers.

My ride home is bumpier, but is shorter and slower. But I like it because there is no traffic and there is a couple of hairpins, one left is @ 130-140 degree turn and the right, just up a hill, is close to a 180 turn. Both are single lane. I actually touched a peg last week! It's been over 4 years since I did that, up North on some windy county road by Mille Lacs Lake! Felt good.:)

Since I changed my route to work, I drive by that sketchy gas station I went to, one night a few weeks back, that I commented on earlier. During the day, well, much better place. I have gone there for fuel a number of times now, on my way to work.

Wed., before work, I stopped in for fuel. I met an interesting man, who asked about the bike. He is retired, him and a buddy are building a Hayabusa to break the World Record top speed. He also just bought a Messerschmitt airplane to refurbish and is working on his pilot license. We talked for about 20 minutes, Normally, I don't do that.

Most people don't interest me, at all. So, conversing with a stranger, at a gas station, is unusual. If I didn't have to work, I probably would have gone and had a coffee with him, listen to his story a bit more. But, being the working stiff I am, I had to go. Oh well.
