Because they are almost impossible to find and they are the best for my CrossFire setup. I've uploaded Catalyst 10.4a's here: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=XOOKP0NS

I've had 0 problems with these drivers and BFBC2 loads nice and fast with them. :toast:

One thing I noticed with the 10.6 drivers, even with the new profile update, is that when I launch a game only 1/4 GPUs clocks up to full speed while the other 3 stay at 507Mhz... That would certainly help to explain why the performance is lower.

I went back to the 10.5 hotfix drivers and all GPUs go to full clocks when I start a game as they should. I was able to use the 10.6 (6/18) profile update with the 10.5 drivers which worked fine.

Not sure if is only coincidence, but after I installed the 10.6 and noticed the fps hang, I was looking windows performance tool and noticed winsat.exe having memory errors
After fast google research discovered that winsat.exe is about Windoes Experience shit and
for some reason it keep runing all the time
so I went control panel> admin tools> task scheduler > browsed to Microsoft\Windows\Maintenance and disabled WinSAT, restarted computer and my problems was gone

Anyone with a 4800 series card try them? I haven't installed them yet, but I play a lot of BC2 and am not sure if the slowdown is just with the 5000 series cards.

I have them installed ,Have not noticed any change in FPS ,Let me test with Fraps here in awhile.

I installed 10.6 just yesterday on my HD 4850 1gb rig, not only did my screen flash from black to desktop and back and forth allllll during install and it continued doing so even after it was done (had to force reboot). But it makes my system a bit unstable, ill just be on my desktop screen and it will hang and then go black then come back it will say, ATI Driver Problem detected, AMD Driver problem detected on different occasions. Really pisses me off....

:edit: and bc2 is laggy aswell...

For those who still have 10.6 with problems, the original 10.6 Crossfire Profile didn't work, so they made a new one here.

Good luck, I'm still on 10.4 :)

Updating the updates again? I'm on 10.4 and plan to stay there until I hear plenty of positive feedback about 10.7, or 10.8 or whatever they decide to call it. I haven't played BFBC2, but my initial experience with 10.6 led me to re-install 10.4 about 10 minutes later.
