So few months ago i bought a Samsung curved monitor which is in my system specs, loved it and never attempted to clean the monitor apart from using microfibre cloth to give it a wipe.
Cut to this month my mum thought be good idea to use vacuum cleaner to vacuum my desk and in process accidently scratched my monitor not once but twice, the scratch marks are easily noticeable as you can see from the photo. Excuse the flash. Some of you may say i should just leave it and live with it but it is really bugging me to point i can't stop staring at it and noticing it.
Anyways..im thinking of getting a new monitor closer to end of November or for Christmas, now it might be too early to make decision since there may be newer releases.
Now i want to upgrade to a monitor with higher refresh rate just to see what the fuss is about, but i'm not sure whether to get another 1080p monitor or upgrade to 1440p. The monitor and PC itself will mainly be used for gaming on PS4 and PC,on PC side i'll more than likely be sticking with GTX970 and possibly be looking at upgrading to next *70 card be it 1070 or next release in future. The monitors i've mainly been looking at are:

https://www.scan.co.uk/products/27-...splay-nvidia-g-sync-4ms-dp-hdmi-usb-hub-black
https://www.scan.co.uk/products/27-...m-speakers-1xhdmi-1xdp-1xdvi-dl-1xd-sub-black

Would like some opinions and options.
