MSI K8N Neo4/SLI

or

Asus A8N5X

I don't need SLI so disregard that feature, and also if someone is interested in purchasing one of them please let me know cause I'll just use the one you don't buy hehe.

good call my man! haha I grabbed the wrong board and typed in the model without glancing at the socket since it was an Asus and I knew the other extra board I have is an Asus :p

OP edited to the correct board :)

If its of any help, I love the layout of the K8N.

+1.

If you are not going to OC either one should be fine.

I suppose both has 3 pci slots. So incase if you need to use them both boards will be fine.

BTW are those new?

lol neither will OC decent? I have an X2 3800+ to pop in that I wanted to OC a tad for 24/7 use

I have an old neo-2, the bus speed maxes out at 285, it could probably go higher, but the bios stops me. If the Neo-4 OCs the same I doubt you'll have any problems.

My Neo2 OCs to 275, but without C'n'Q enabled. With C'n'Q it stops at 265. So left my X2 3800 at 260.

So 2.6 is guarenteed.

How much for the SLi 939 board?

It was my buddy's B-day and he could use that board.

I had an MSI K8N Neo4-F and I have to say it bloody rocked. This was before my unending issues with MSI, but the BIOSes were updated regularly and kept getting better and better. The board OC'd to 250Mhz without a hitch, and topped out around 290 with a bigish voltage bump.

It wasn't the best board, but it OC'd well considering I paid £40 brand new :)

LOL 0 votes for Asus. Is that board that crap?

lol I think we should actually ask Paulieg as he traded it to me like a year ago in a multi item trade, I've just never gotten around to using it :p
