so this mem when used with Athlon X2 Windsor F3 will it step down to DDR2 800? Can I then not worry about mem running out of specs and OC up to 1066? Right now not sure if my mem is holding my F3 gem (3.5ghz complete stable).

I would offer if there wasn't a rebate involved. I'd rather not have to go through such a long process such as: you pay me > i buy ram > I ship ram and send rebates > we wait > I get rebates > I send you money received from rebates :ohwell:

Even still . . . idk, it just seems less efficient going from 2x2 to 4x1. I'd rather save the extra slots for another 2x2 to have 4x2=8gb . . .

I don't have any money right now, so even if I was ok with doing it that way, I couldn't. No offense, but TBH, I wouldn't feel comfortable doing that for somebody I haven't really traded with before without getting payment in full first.

I wish they were fast. It's normal for them to take well over a month, if you even get it. The companies have a tendency to try and find any possible flaw in your submission so they don't have to grant it. I may be exaggerating a bit, but the point is that rebates are hardly ever fast and aren't guaranteed if you don't fill them out perfectly and send all the little UPCs or whatever crap they want.
