Ok really strange problem here.......here is a quote copy/pasted from another forum.
Anyone experienced distortion in vantage in the first test? Also when I get to my desktop Dreamscene is all wigged out, looking like a corrupted movie file download.....blockly with scattered textures, then it fixes itself after ~5s. This only happens with Vantage AFAIK.
I played TF2 for a few minutes and didn't get any distortion.....I played Crysis for ~3 minutes without a single hitch.
Ok it's that freaking Jane Nash bench's distortion that's messing the score up....big time. Look at the FPS difference.....I actually score higher in the New Calico bench second lower aggregate score than on the higher aggregate score
I also ran furmark for about 3 minutes to see the temps and didn't get any artifacts. I wonder if the memory being bare has anything to do with it? Surely Crysis stresses the video memory more than Vantage, but I guess there's no way of telling (Rivatuner doesn't support VRAM usage in Vista due to virtualization of video memory.)
I have my memory RAMsinks arriving on Monday, so we'll see then too....I put my infrared thermometer on the memory during Vantage and saw the temps were 40-45C. Probably much cooler than they would be with that POS stock cooler bleeding heat from the core....

Anyone experience this? I didn't actually watch the bench the first time it ran (stupid me), as I just started the bench and switched inputs on my monitor to my DVR to watch TV....3DMark Score P11685 3DMarks
