Arctic Cooling has today unveiled Arctic Breeze, a product that can hopefully bring salvation for many of us during the hot days of summer. Although I find the best places to work or use my home computer to be air-conditioned, at Arctic Cooling they believe you can cool yourself or your precious CPU and VGA with a tiny USB fan. Enough of what I think, now let's come to the features. Arctic Breeze comes equipped with a low noise 92mm impeller with fan speed switch to let you choose between 1200 rpm and 2000 rpm. The Arctic Breeze also provides an on/off switch and 1.5m long cable. The AC Breeze will be available in June 2008 backed by a 2-year limited warranty and will set you back US$15.95/9.95€.

Id buy it. Might actually. Ill have to keep an eye out on newegg.

Sweet, I'm gettin one! :toast:

I like it but would not get it as it be pointless well when the real summer hits it will as that will not help in 95f temps. I have to use a industrial fan lol.

USB or Firewire Powered?

If it firewire, can you daisychain them?

(Looks fun. Like an EVGA sunshade would be cool too)

Next we will have Arctic Cooling monitor tan cream,

"For protection against long term exposure to crt monitor radiation and helps provide a youthful glow"

me for sure buying 2. Damn it my company always turns down the AC to save energy?

I wanna see little kids stick their fingers in it.

man artic cooling is cooling humans now? nice step :D

This looks like just the useless little thing i could bring to the school over the summer and plug into their computers. I think this thing would be great :D

ROFL, the Artic Silver Thermal Compound EVOLVED@~

ha im going to get this for next semester and just plug it into my laptop at school and when someone ask for it ill say "go find your own" in a very Napoleon Dynamite voice. :)

I wanna see little kids stick their fingers in it.
ill stick my finger in it...i get bored easily. :)

I'm rather dissapointed there is no grill on the fan so I can tie some pink streamers to it.:(

I have two boxfans in my computer room, one in the window (sometimes exhaust, sometimes intake), and one on the floor for just me. Plus there's a ceiling fan.

Forget Newegg. These'll probably show up on Woot.

dunno, looks pretty useless to me. I have a regular office desk fan that i picked up at thr 99cent store for a few bucks, it is much larger, has 3 speeds and i have it pointed at my case for additional summer time cooling. It will do a much better job than this overpriced, tiny (comparing to mine) AC fan. though as someone said above air-conditioning will beat the crap out of any desk fan out there.

We'll be seeing USB powered miniature Air-Conditioning units next. They'll be just as useful as these things.

My thoughts exactly. Take it anywhere and people will play with it. Leave it alone and it might fall over. Fan would get stuck and burn itself out. You'd be spending another $16 (if you even wanted to bother with it again).

Cats too. "Wat is dis spinning device?"
My roommate's old cat would play with my case fans (until I chased him off).

The USB mini AC will prolly be useful, this Breeze thing is an overpriced gimmick, that is a safety hazard on top of that. Watch and see how many kids will stick their little fingers in one of these.

I love A/C what a great company i'm getting one.

I doubt that this fan would chop little kids' fingers off.

I stuck my hand in a ceiling fan once and it didn't even give me a bruise. The mythbusters also busted this myth. ;)

I'll probably wait until it gets down to $8. One of these would be awesome to have at a lan party where space comes at a premium.

AC going end up being sued you think ?.. 2k RPM is not much like were not talking about a good rexus fan here now that cut you for sure.

Its so pointless that I must buy me one when they come out ::haha::

im right in think the pound shop has similar fans for probly only 99p
its a good idea but im afraid there probly is already usb powered desk fans

not to mention i could get a big massive fan although mains powered probly better

It has an on/off switch, nice. Yeah it's a bit gimmicky, but those desk fans are quite noisy. Blowing hot air to your face isn't going to do much, but at least it's a breeze. We get quite hot summer days here in north and soon the sun won't go down at all, so it's warm even at night.

Tempted for a one too, cord long enough and unlike some cheapo usb-fans this thing will last and if it doesn't there's the 2year warranty. Temped to hook up a desktop fan to my window too as GJSNeptune mentioned, no AC in Finnish houses and when there is no breeze hot air gets stuck inside.
