A few questions about Memory OC and Ryzen speed

These are boards that cost 33-100% more then mine. Keep in mind that i bougt the cheapest x470 there is. I can't even change cpu core voltage in the bios.

I might also be unlucky. There are users that cant even get this memory to 3000mhz. Not every chip is the same.

I am sure (from experience) that if you would have bought the cheapest x470 non-Gigabyte board, you wouldnt experienced ram issues.

I received those boards for reviews and i will not get cheaper versions to test.
Yet, i can get a Gigabyte X470 Gaming 7 to test RAM on it. I will get it next week and let you know.

In the meantime, try to change that motherboard, at least for a test

He is on a Gigabyte board, they can't write a bios worth it to anyone, the only 2 are Asus and AsRock,

Not only that, their bios releases are very weird. On the Belgian website I see another "latest bios version" then on the global website. Doesn't make any sence.
Also, they never mention changes in the release notes. You just have to guess what changed…

I tried all 3 available Bios versions. No difference at all between them.

Funny thing is, I was having doubts between the X470-AORUS-ULTRA-GAMING and the MSI X470 GAMING PLUS .
At the time I did my reseach, MSI only had a small list of available supported RAM. None of wich I was able to buy locally. Also, my previous mainboard from MSI just stopped working after two years.
But now, they have over 600+ supported RAM sticks. To bad I wasn't able to see in the future

The Gaming 7 board supports memory up to 3600Mhz officialy. The same can not be sad about my motherboard.

There is no way i'm going to replace the motherboard for 1-3fps extra in games. I've seen many reviews. The difference between 3000Mhz and 3200Mhz are not that big.
I'll get just as much by overclocking my GPU a little bit more. I haven't really tried clocking it higher.

I was talking about changing the motherboard in terms of RAM compatibility.
Never had problems with other brands.
