I had the flu recently and was off sick from work for two whole weeks. Truly awful. A flu vaccine that stops this will be massive.

These are rodents model for now. TBH there will be a long way from what they are here to clinical trail. Multiple labs have to be able to replicate exact same findings with different strains of mice before any discussion of human trail can even be considered. Give it 5 years at least.

Mercury is in the form of Thiomersal. ASD research has shifted to aluminum used as an adjuvant. Thermisal. In vaccines as a preservative and pretty much proven harmless.

It does contain mercury in the compound but it's harmless much like the hydrogen in your water doesn't burn. Compounds change chemical behavior.

Probably anywhere Thermisal is used in a vaccine (very likely in a flu shot). Yep. You probably got some. Don't worry, you are far more likely to overdose on dihydrogen monoxide than get a complication from this.

I personally have nothing against injecting a weakened virus into my body, so my body builds antibodies and makes me immune to it for a while. The problem is, I don't know what is getting injected.

Any chemical reason Zinc would do what you are thinking? Mercury may sound scary but it's only scary in elemental form. There is no reason to fear it in a compound.

Again, it's aluminum (especially when mixed with fluoride) that's the concern. CDC cites this source which was published in 2011: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22001122

Here's a 2018 review, including an examination of the methods of the article above, that raises serious concerns about aluminum breaching the blood brain barrier of infants (which is what fluoride does when it binds to aluminum): https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/29307441

Both conclude that long term studies are needed to determine just how toxic aluminum adjuvants are.

As a reminder, adjuvants are elements in the vaccine that accelerate the growth of the germ. The body responds by stockpiling antibodies. In the case of aluminum, it's good for the germ but bad for the body.

Interesting. I know excess Aluminum in the brain is linked to Alzheimers as well.

If you ask me mercury Thermisal was better... They basically changed it because of scare tactics. Either way the risk factor is not near as bad as the disease risk...

The scientist behind that very misreported research took advantage of the cheap aluminum cookware sales after it went viral. If he's not concerned you shouldn't be either. And for the record don't just latch onto every report of what's bad for you and run with it, keep up to date. The aluminum thing was debunked years ago. With alzheimer's in particular the research is advancing every few months.

Zinc has a biological pathway, meaning the active ingredient would be broken down and inactivated by enzymes before it could work. What a miniscule amount of Mercury or aluminum do is trigger the immune system to grab the metal and remove it, learning about the forign protein it's attached to along the way and thus granting a degree of prelearned immunity to the flu virus and it's protien shell.

Yes, I realise there is no way of knowing what gets injected. No need for cinism. I simply don't want to be a lab rat and potentionaly grow another arm, so I don't get flu shots.
