AAF Optimus Modded Driver For Windows 10 & Windows 11 - Only for Realtek HDAUDIO Chips

Windows 24H2 is a mess here with the drivers... it keeps mixing old Realtek drivers from 2019 and newest AAF ones... i just gave up, the old ones just keep coming back again and again.

At least everything seems to work fine, so yeah that's it then.

It is the automatic driver installation feature of Windows Update causing this.

I disabled the driver updating
it gets rather annoying cause it always picks generic drivers anyways

This is probably not doable, i am going to guess that it doesnt end well on all implementations but i will ask anyways.

Is it possible in the drivers to expose the independent playback and input devices by default?
I been using the realtek hda driver test utility to expose them (and i of course forget how every time and have to poke around a bit till i remember by accident LOL)
I finally just copied the DAT file to my driver archive after i made a working one last time.

I am guessing though that you have good reason for not doing that by default.

Other than that, i have had 0 issues with your latest drivers on Win 11 24H2, even on a clean install.
I simply excluded drivers from win updates, which I always do.

I think that DTS:X Ultra is to be used with a DTS:X enabled receiver, with the PC plugged into the receiver via HDMI?
I do not believe that DTS:X Ultra does anything over Analog outputs or SPDIF, only HDMI

DTS Headphones: X (DTS Sound Unbound app) works over headphones
Also seems to work over SPDIF though I can't say how well it works as opposed to just using Dolby or DTS 5.1 live, I am sure it isn't quite intended for 5.1 SPDIF
 
Hi @AAF Optimus , I have tested your latest github release on windows 24H2, but still I'm facing audio not controlable issue. I have installed below components on installs
1) Realtek v1 with dolby settings for speaker
2) Realtek v2 with Dolby Atmos for gaming
3) Realtek v1 with DTS X
4) Realtek V2 with DTS X

Kindly let me know if you want to me test other combinations

Hi, I was curious what hardware it is that you have that you get that issue?
I have ALC892.

I ran the uninstaller of the old version
Rebooted
Ran driverstore explorer
Removed any drivers whose "Provider" is "Realtek", "Dolby", "DTS", "Creative", "A-Volute", "AAF Optimus"
Rebooted again, with internet disconnected, just to prevent windows from trying to find something online.

Ran the installer
Picked Realtech console V1 (V2 feels like options were removed?)
Picked Install ASIO controller
Picked install 5.1 audio feature, sub-option Realtek Patched APO
Picked DTS Sound Unbound (Though dont really need it, plus it just self updates and retracts the license even with windows store updates disabled)

Volume control works for both SPDIF output and the analog jacks.

Wonder if that might work for you?
Not sure what hardware you are installing for.

Dolby Audio itself has slightly fewer features than Dolby Atmos, for example, it does not have Detailed, Balanced and Warm equalization presets. But, on the other hand, by choosing Dolby Audio, in any of the three variations present in the package and installing it together with Dolby Access, you already transform it into Dolby Atmos and have the possibility of counting on the spatial sound format " Dolby Atmos For Bult-In Speakers" or "Dolby Atmos For Speakers". Remembering that this format is only available for analog endpoints.

i installed Dolby Atmos For Speakers but spatial sound not show "Dolby Atmos For Bult-In Speakers" and "Dolby Atmos For Headphones". after i installed Dolby Atmos same.

It only works with Dolby Audio, Dolby Audio Premium or Dolby Audio Speaker System, installed together with Dolby Access. But the emergence of this spatial format is not certain in all cases.

Looks like a FabFilter Q3 style mid/side EQ with predefined filters programmed as user friendly macros into those big knobs.
Been using Q3 (now Q4) on my systemwide VST host since the day I finally cooked up a fully working/stable recipie of tools combined with OS tweaks/optimisations to deliver real-time, multichannel, glitch free, low latency VST based audio processing applied directly onto my PC's main audio output.
A swiss army knife that covers everything I need to sculpt my audio on a per channel basis.
Got Nugen Audio Halo Upmix (upscale) running before the EQ on the chain and a limiter after.
I wonder if this new APO can do per channel processing...
Unlikely I assume.
Probably delivers a wider image just by boosting the hi mid freqs of the side stereo field, as well as keeping the lows sloping down to mono and that extra control over the vocal freqs is a nice touch too.
Nice to see much more flexible tools coming out to the home theater scene. It's ridiculus that modern APOs are still stuck on the most basic parametric EQs and a 'magic' 3D button given the amazing DSP products flooding the market as plugins, many of which are free/open source.
 
Hi, Is there any hope in having DTS digital through HDMI working with this driver? Currently I can't find any driver that does it. I only can get Dolby Digital output selectable throught my HDMI output, but I can't get DTS or even Dolby Digital Plus throught HDMI.

Another question: Is it possible to have Dolby Digital Plus, in adition of simple Dolby Digital output with HDMI or SPDIF? I've never found any info or any driver to do this, and AFAIK DDP have higher bandwith than DD.

I might be wrong, but since this driver is for Realtek chips, and HDMI is provided via your GPU and the Realtek ship plays no part, I am not really seeing that it would work?
You could flat out disable the Realtek chip and the HDMI audio would still be running.
 
I had a problem with dts which showed up as unpaid version. I tried reinstall just apps and it was the same. But after second reboot it started working. Others apps are working correctly. Amazing tool kit.
edit: just dolby and ice sound is not working over bluetooth. is there a way to solve it?

ICE Sound works fine on Realtek ALC892 23H2 machine. Nahimic is still superior to me so i'm going back. Thanks :)
