ADATA's S511 SSD is built upon the winning combination of the new Sandforce SF-2281 and Intel 25 nm NAND flash. In our testing the 120 GB drive delivers excellent performance scores that benefit from support for the latest SATA 6 Gbps interface.

Nice. It is good to see A-Data still striving to bring something great to market. A lot of people overlook them as being second rate, which is kinda true; however, they will occasionally release an exceptional product.

WOW great SSD, only 4% slower than a 240GB SSd that shows this thing is fast, hopefully that price will actually be lower sometime around newegg.

W1zz it would be awesome if you could get one of these from Mushkin(Mushkin Enhanced Chronos Deluxe MKNSSDCR120GB-DX 2...) the specs look great or even a Corsair Force 3/GT

Nice review! I have always wondered about A-Data SSD performance, looks very solid.

I was wondering about this drive as well, I'd like to see how it stacks up to the Mushkin Chronos which on paper looks to be the fastest SSD out.

Thanks it ends up as I thought. The Mushkin SSD is faster (slightly), but is a bit more than the Vertex 3 (but not as much as Tom's has it listed as). Under normal circumstances I'd just get a Vertex, but I just don't trust OCZ right now.
