I have a M4A79 Deluxe Mobo, Phenom II X4 940 CPU, now my question is basically what function does the ACC serve? With my chipset and CPU would I have any benefit of leaving it enabled, or would it be better off disabled? Just couldn't find any clear info about this setting, thanks.

from what i have read it does nothing for the PII. Its not even clear what ACC even does. all that is known for sure is that it gives higher clocks to Phenom I and sometimes unlocks Tricore PII and some 7750be .
amd seems to be keeping everything on the DL about ACC

ACC is built into the PII core. In short, it helps stabilize your OC's.

This probably won't help, but I remember reading (anandtech?) that ACC affects the southbridge depending on the chipset - SB750? And although this should have no relationship to oc'ing, apparently it does - at least on Phenom !'s.

ACC is a secret that AMD does not want to talk about! :twitch:
