Hey, tnx. Yea, worked like a charm, for some reason i thought polaris was more complicated than grenada. Its actualy even easier, all done through windows. Now i can go back to tacling a seemingly failing R9 390. Ex mining card, used it for gaming, came with bios with stupidly low voltages that obviously werent stable for gaming. Installed original bios and then undervolted it. But then i tried to enable PWM on this card and was changing some values which didnt really have any effect. But now the gpu is artifacting even when i come to windows and then crashes. I did notice before though that sliding certain windows like GPU-z window occasionaly produced artifacts. So clearly it wasnt 100% good card. Its not worth anything but now im determined to either find the reason for fault or kill the card. Pretty sure its faulty card's memory, artifacts didnt resemble those of faulty GPU chip itself

Hey do you know guys how to bypass SSID/Subsystem ID error? I tried to flash bios from 6800m to 6700xt(they are exactly same cards but SSID is different) cuz of that error its not possible flash it. I know one guy did bypass on nvidia cards with SSID error but didnt found anything like that for amd. Thanks for answer and help in advance!

This thread is literally Legend. I also give thanks to @eidairaman1 and @Imperator as I have referred back to this guide to keep some faithful cards productive. MSI's Polaris series that had multiple vBIOSes for exact same cards, differentiated by only serial number if you knew their history. Excelsior!

For whatever reason, is there a way to ignore everything and flash it? I want to throw Rx 5700XT 50th vbios into RX 5700XT. I have an igpu so I can come back in case of a bad flash.

Yes, you can force a flash, to answer your question. And like "forcing" anything, you're very likely to break something, or in this case, the term is "brick" the card. As in, make it as useless as a brick for anything to do with what it was originally intended. Let me ask, why would you want to put the "50th vbios" [whatever that is] onto an RX 5700XT that doesn't have that specific programming? And just because you have a CPU with onboard graphics so you can get video from your computer after things go wrong, that doesn't mean you can "come back from a bad flash." Your computer won't be able to recognize the card as a device, and you won't get some magical 2nd chance to fix it or restore the original vbios.

Because; It is faster than the 5700XT, but even if I manually set 188W, I can never achieve the same clock speeds. I need more power to get the 1980 Mhz boost clock speed and since I don't want that I was wondering if there was a way to cheat.

5700XT: 180W Base Clock: 1605 MHz Game Clock: 1755 MHz Boost Clock: 1905 MHz
5700XT 50th Anniversary: 188W Base Clock: 1680 MHz Game Clock:1830 MHz Boost Clock: 1980 MHz

Even if I put the card at 188W, I cannot reach these speeds.

Also, I'm a little suspicious of what you're talking about because 5700XT and 5700XTX are not two completely different cards. For example; Even the Powercolor Liquid Devil model is marketed as 5700XTX. Just like the RX 5700XT 50th anniversary.

Hello.
In your picture you used the command -i, for having info about your card in the system.
Presuming that you have a AMD card inserted and you received that message, that means the system doesn't see the card itself for some reason.
It is very likely that you have a faulty card or a "bricked" card.

The change log of version 5.0.567 states it supports Navi 3x but does not cleary states it supports RX 7800XT.
Your RX 7800 XT is released in September 2023 so it might work but also it might not work.
See screenshot below.

Ok for the umpteenth time, this is a Guide, not a help thread, if you need help please create a new topic.

Please note i recently updated the guide with a tool and a link to more bios mods/overclocking: that link I am not responsible for, if you have questions relating to that link please visit the forums at igors lab.

I successfully flashed an RX 500 Series (Polaris) graphics card with amdvbflash version 3.15 for Windows. However, using amdvbflash 2.93, I encountered a security error in Windows 11. Version 5.0.567 cannot correctly identify the BIOS P/N of this graphics card.
