Render sample size should be 150. New file with this preset will be uploaded. Sorry!

Set render samples to 150. A new file with the sample level set correctly will be uploaded shortly. Apologies for the confusion.

Blender 2.78a x64 is what we used, binary download from blender.org.
Press reports of 25s at 100 samples were done independently.

Well, this is going to require a lot of retests over in the Ryzen Blender Bench thread

Woops? Or what...

Lads don't forget something: it's AMD:D

Maybe I'm missing something here, but what exactly was clarified?

I guess blender defaults to a certain sample size and AMD didn't use defaults?

So, have we seen any Zen benchmarks other than this Blender? If not, it does suggest that Zen is pants at everything else.

Yes, that's what Anandtech spotted. My question was what was clarified by AMD? That reddit thread seems to say they've uploaded different files and that's it (I didn't read the whole thing).

Yes we have. Handbrake.

They had a guy run through the top 10 industry standard CPU benchmarks and they picked the top 2; pretty much like everyone else.

At least now on the GPU side they can use DOOM and Battlefront instead of showing us the same AOTS benchmark over and over again.
