1090T will be installed on friday....
This is exciting! The performance is solid, overclocking is strong, and multi-threaded apps are brought to their knees...cheaply...
...ohh...and AMD is being extremely customer friendly by not completely altering the socket with every new processor.
+1 on that
Nice to see that AMD still favors us old AM2+ users.
And I'm still waiting for Asus to update my bios and they already said they would.
Very awesome PR machine working there. Man I so want one, and I need to check out the Hot Deals Section.
Whaaat MM your upgrading? wow sounds serious
The second they update the bios for my mobo to support a 1090 Ill be buying one. What sucks is they already advertise my board as 6 core capable.
I called Asus today and am waiting on them to call back.
Mines listed there too (M4A785-M), it makes me feel a little better, but they gotta roll out these bios's already.
EDIT: mine says it will support 6 cores from bios 0803, and the current bios is already at 0906, maybe its time to buy a 6 core eh
I would buy neither
$170 24'' LCD would be a TN one and cheap.
$70 600W PSU = crap
$120 Radeon 5670 will be under powered to push 1920x1080 resolution.
The picture is funny tho!
That would be a side grade not an upgrade why waste your time!
If you were building a new system or upgrading your current AM2+/AM3 setup I could see that.
giga sent me an apology once i showed them the chips were out, and they told me they'll update the board page within the next few days.
NICE!!!!! +1 for the Mussels-man!
well my car tires F'ed, so i'm getting new tires before i'm getting a 6 core.
New tires, 5870, 1055T in that order
AMD Hex Core BE in 300 USD range, now that is an affordable High End Chip.
Time to wake up MSI...
I'm drooling over this to replace my 955.
+ a MSI 890FXA-GD70 to replace my 790FX-GD70.
+ Displayport -> VGA adapter & 2 Samsung T240s to sit either side of my T260.
Separate names with a comma.
