AMD Radeon RDNA3 Graphics Launch Event Live-blog: RX 7000 Series, Next-Generation Performance

From 42 to 62 fps in Ray Tracing WITH FSR?
They should have understood by now that RT is THE MAIN FEATURE TODAY TO FOCUS.
Morons.
It sucks compared to 4090, but it will probably be faster than 3000 series cards. All depends on the price now. If they can match 4080 RT for less money it still makes sense.

Is FSR3 comparable to DLSS3? The hints of fluid motion and 2x more fps vs FSR2 point to it being a frame interpolation technology like DLSS3.

The crowd on stream does not seem enthaistic about this card......Maybe it's that low 2.0ghz game clock can over clock like stink?

RT performance non existant.

Ray tracing won't be the main focus until it arrives on console hardware. So maybe in five years.

It's a nice amenity for PC gaming but game developers will focus on writing titles that will run well on current generation console hardware.

guess we have to wait for more information later on, it does not seem like it but if its just FSR but better...then why not just update FSR 2.0

well If we look at TPU , 62 means slower than 3080Ti.faster than 3080. IDK why AMD didn't work to be more faster than ADA.

TPU didn't test Ultra RT though did they, that's a new setting that is way harder.

NVM, ignore that it's called Psycho, not Ultra. So yeah it totally sucks.

Ray Tracing is still a fancy doodad you enable to go OH THIS THIS IS COOL, in a small handful of triple A games, then turn it off after it slashes FPS or introduces all sorts of nasty motion smoothing, artifacts, and ghosting when DLSS or FSR is enabled.

So not really ^

Today AMD is presenting the best they have.

We'll need to wait for third-party reviews to see how RNDA3 measures up to Ada Lovelace in real world environments not on PowerPoint slide decks.

lmao wtf are you smoking bud
AMD is way behind in RT. Even Intel's ARC looks better, meaning AMD could have a real problem when Intel fixes it's problems.
AMD should had targeted at close to 3-4 times performance increase in RT. Very expensive cards will NOT sell if they are failing in RT compared to the competition. And if the competition wins in high end, it will mean that they will also be selling low and mid range cards. See what is happening today. People buy RTX 3050.
So, what I smoke bd, is reality. What you smoke, it's your problem.

no logins, no accounts. fucking A. love you amd

How could we possibly answer that?
I was just musing out loud. The little information presented certainly seems to point to a DLSS3 competitor.

While I agree that AMD should target higher RT performance, the stupid 3050 selling better than the 6600 is because of ignorant consumers. The 3050 tier of cards isn't meant for raytracing.

Well considering they announced it as a future update it seems like they just plan to feature match, possibly half baked like FSR 1 was.

MOST FOLKS DON'T NOT CARE ABOUT RT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!! FPS IS STILL KING I'll glad turn up the in game graphics than to use some gimmicks crap.

my fucking god would we make the greatest team alive in a pub mate. bloody hell lol

At least the prices are much more reasonable than Nvidia's.

your right, but if they're going to behind like this they need to skip RDNA4 if they're going to still be behind in RT & just move on to RDNA5 then at that point. it makes no sense to keep being behind when you can scrape on and move on the better.

rx7900 (non xt) when?

hmm 999 for 7900 XTX ? not bad

Sharp pricing

7900 XTX 24GB US$999
7900 XT 20GB US$899

While we still need to wait for third-party reviews, it looks like once again AMD will come up on top in terms of performance-per-watt and performance-per-dollar for conventional 3D rasterization performance.
