AMD Radeon RDNA3 Graphics Launch Event Live-blog: RX 7000 Series, Next-Generation Performance

man this end trailer is actually well done, they hired a good team for this

900 for the 7900 xt, not bad

At least prices are good. But also shows that they know it. Without a killer performance in RT, they couldn't price them higher. They have to work on RT. They should have done it with RDNA3, they didn't. Copying Nvidia and Intel trolls here "Let's wait for RDNA4".

Holy mother Mary! $1,000!!! I would have lost all my lunch money if I had bet on the price. I was expecting $1200. Now my question is, how does it actually performs.

So, it costs less than the 4080, uses less power than the 4080, and is closer in performance to the 4090 than the 4080.

Sold.

So ~95% of the performance of the 4090 at 62% of the price..

So I will soon see if I should return my 4090 or keep it. Well I will return my card, when I 4090 is in stock again. So if amd offering are worth looking at. I might reconsider.

The 4090 I have has bad coil whine, so I will be returning it at some point anyway.

Is FSR3 comparable to DLSS3? The hints of fluid motion and 2x more fps vs FSR2 point to it being a frame interpolation technology like DLSS3.
Probably that's what they are going to do. And probably they decided to build an FSR 3.0 and name it as "THREE", because it will be going against DLSS 3.0. I believe Nvidia's technique isn't difficult to implement and AMD is starting making it's own version now. I think they are starting building it now, after seeing Nvidia's DLSS 3.0. They just throw a hint in today's presentation to be sure that people whouldn't rush to buy an RTX 4000.

Thank you, AMD! Wow
I am in for an RX 7900 XT 20 GB for 900. 4K@480 and 8K@165, full AV1 support, DP 2.1 here I come.

Looks pretty interesting. The prices are high but not 1600 to 2k+...! Probably the manufacturering in process is so expensive can't do less.

355w is comparatively reasonable.

Let's see full reviews for performance.

Pricing is way too high honestly… might have to come down — negative rt, fsr still looks like you just smeared Vaseline on your screen and performance below 4090… meh gonna wait for reviews but not looking good.

Reactions: ARF
what, where are 7800XT 7700XT 7600XT? they are making the mistake again!!!!!

Eager to see some reviews. Quite surprised that we just got two cards, but they probably have too many 6000 series cards to move yet.

lol if that price is high, then nvidia must pay you to take their RTX 4090 :D

Am I looking at the images correctly, AMD is maintaining the USB-C VirtualLink? Cool

Personally I am mostly interested in the new Adrenaline features and FSR 3, that don't seem to be RDNA3 only features - like DLSS 3 is RTX 4000 only. Apart from that I think pricing and features on RDNA3 are more compelling than RTX 4000. RTX 4000, especially 4090 and maybe even 4080 16GB might be faster - based on shown raw performance - than RDNA3 but who cares about raw performance when you cannot put it on screen (DP 1.4 vs 2.1), especially when it comes to actual pricing.

TLDR: In your face nVIDIA!

Like NVIDIA, AMD has excess channel inventory of previous generation mid-range and entry-level graphics cards. They need sell down before they can release their replacements.

My guess is 7800 XT will be unveiled early January at CES.

hmm looks like AMD doesn't believe in RT. 62 vs 42 in cyberpunk ?? that's really low , should be at least 75.

It's at 4k,

the proper screenshot is

but with FSR, not sure if FSR 1.0 or FSR 2.0. I could use FSR 2.x performance but i dont want to use FSR 1.0 Performance, even at 4k. (i would prefer to turn of Raytracing instead).

Not sure where that lead us. I am not that impressed, but i think the price is right. That lead to the 7900xtx to be a competitor of the 4080 more than the 4090 in my opinion but it look priced accordingly.

That card seems to be competitive with a 4080 16 GB so it's not a total failure. It's just people only care about flagship even if only few people buying it. We will see the real benchmark but i'm kinda disapointed right now. Not super disapointed, i think it's okay, but let say not super hyped.

They come later, as always, it would be interesting if they indeed released the cheaper cards first, and if Intel then releases their new cards in May, exactly between when Nvidia/AMD do theirs, it could be very interesting in years to come
