Anyone remember OCZ brand (not SSDs)?

Says something about it's market impact, I'd wager... heh.
I dont think it ever went retail, was something they showed off at CES or computex.

I believe you are correct. Never retail, but there were quite a few version 1 and 2 prototype review samples floating around for a while.

Didn't read entire thread but OCZ...loved the gold silver and platinum heat spreaders..
and oh yeah THIS

Also OCZ made probably the best mouse of all time for big thick handed people...The Behomth!!!!!
Seriously wish someone would bring it back.

Loved my Reapers!

I had some of their ddr400, was rated 2.5-3-3-7 but would only run cas 2, not 2.5.. was weird. I still have a 3x2gb set of Reaper HPC ddr3 1600 6-8-6. Does 2000 7-9-7 heh. I have a dead first gen Revodrive too. That thing was awesome compared to regular sata speeds at the time. As far as I know you can still get warranty you just need your receipt. Which I don't have..

hell yeah I remember!

I really wish I bought that OCZ neural thing, it was wicked cool. I also remember there stand alone phase change unit also mega cool. I had the 4GB OCZ gold "vista upgrade" ram kit. used it for years. Pretty sure its with my Q6600 ES in someones closet long gone now.

I even did a review of the ram coolers ages ago.

Yes, the ram was gorgeous

Their platinum and low voltage DDR2 RAM at 1066Hz were epic imho. I had them for years and gave them to a friend that already had a pair to add some more RAM into his PC. The best RAM I ever had. 1066Hz@1.8V with 5-5-5-12 timings me thinks.

Almost forget it, I still have the Vendetta cooler and until nowadays it works fine. This was my first after market cooler. The anti vibration rubbers are broken because after 10 years they got dried but the fan still can be holded from the heatsink with zip ties.

I owned the ocz "gold series" ddr3 modules (2gb x4) and a ocz power supply, they were in my now sold x58 system : )

I have a OCZ ARC-100 SSD which has been running for 3 years perfectly fine still.
My first legit PSU and not a cheap brand purchase which was a OCZ StealthxStream PSU or whatever it was named arrived DOA though sadly.

I had triple channel Ram in a 1366 system a while back.
I remember wanting some many years ago when they were used by Overclockers etc but I could never afford them.

bingo exactly the style I had years ago, back then I though they look so cool :) well still do … ahh I love remembering the old days heh

I loved OCZ back in the day. I remember I had a ram stick fail on me and I called the company and they told me to RMA it. So I did. About a week or so went by and I didnt have my new ram sticks so I called and complained and they said they'd get them out immediately. By the time they showed up, OCZ gave me the WRONG kit (was actually better than what I had (i got some platinums)). Then 2 weeks later my golds showed up at the door unannounced which were the actual replacements I was supposed to receive. I kept them both and they also sent me an OCZ shirt I still have to this day. :D

I loved their RAM and PSU's. I was saddened by their ssds. I never did own one because of all the negative reviews on them.

Ah the good ol days.

Meh ,they didn't make the memory or controller, i just fitted my Revo x2 as my Os drive, works fine after a Lot of years and use.
And still giving 500Mb read write and 90Kio/s ,not bad imho.

I have one of these in a laptop.

I forgot that I had an OCZ vertex 2e that I sold to a fellow TPU member almost a decade that recently just died only a few years ago (the ssd, not the member)
