I guess you download everything from the Internet (wait, what, torrents?) or from the network...

Yeah that thing needs a Blu-Ray drive big time. Other than that, it seems pretty awesome.

Last time I checked ARCTIC MC001 price, it was ~ €400. Nobody is buying that high, cause some pretty decent notebooks, with Sandy bridge, discrete GPU and blu-ray optical drive costed less money.

That thing is tiny, the RJ-15 port looks huge on it lol.

OTOH, I don't like it, most of the connectors appear to be on the side rather than the back...

I think they may have done just that, A10 with a 7660G, nice, but I wonder about the 1600mhz DDR3... Why not 1866?

I think trinity supports 2133. The faster the better with these for sure. You can start cranking out OK fps in games with fast memory (IMC is much improved).

Although, I suppose no one is going to game on these and it's plenty fast for any video acceleration. But 1866 is becoming standard. It would have been nice.

First they sue them, then they make a HTPC using one of their product?
Is suing becoming a good way to get cheap price for the product you want to use nowadays? hahaha :D

I guess it is the trademark thing. They are producing PSU called "Fusion 550", maybe that's the reason. :-\

No D-SUB included

I'm quite enthusiastic about the MC101 PRO (A10) but Borebone version. Unfortunately (unlike their previous MC 001 model) there is no D-SUB connector, that decrease the mobility of it substantially. I prefer to connect 2 monitors at the same time (HDMI and D-SUB) or only the cheap and small D-SUB on the go (that available more widely without carry any monitor). The Hudson M3 has VGA DAC, so it would be easy(?) to include. I don't mind being 5mm thicker then. As you mentioned, it would be better with 1866MHz or even with 2133MHz RAM. Why the barebone version has RAM? Would it be more hot, so cooling is an issue then? Can we change the RAM later, or the RAM chips melted to the motherboard (like the BGA packed APU)? I would prefer 16GB later if it has 2 slots (for RAMDISK for temporary files). Otherwise this is what I really want, not only as a media center, but also as my next Desktop. That's why I miss the D-SUB and faster/bigger RAM, that also improve GPU performance. Thicker would be moe easy to cool, although no info if it will be the LV version (A10 LV with 25W) or 35W version. No info if DVB-T uses MP2 or MP4? Probably both, but I use the latter.
