Are these temps ok ....

Anyone ever thought that speedfan could be wrong?? Kinda hard to monitor that kind of thing via software.

After reading up, I found that on stock with the bios controlling the fanthey idle 43C and max at around 56C load.

all right, so the temps are pretty good... just need to make that wish list and then you can get it cooler! or put it next to a window tonight! freeze warnings in Florida... so I know its cold where your at!

jr, you know one thing I really hate is the sound of fans spinning up/down? I'd rather have one constant sound, so I set my fans full blast all the time. Probably healthier for the fans too. I suggest you do the same.

Well, my fans drown out the sound of my motherboard's capicitors being gay with thier crickety noise and it's not loud so w/e.

As for going full blast not being healthy, I think it just makes sense. At least with my AC Freezer. It would be constantly spinning up/down, even at totally idle to at full load. So it runs flat out at 2400RPM. I'm sure this is healthier than the alternative.

I would be buying a new motherboard, same as how I need a new power supply.

I was doing orthos before I posted my new specs this morning, and two things happened... first was that the pant next to my computer fell down because of the air flow when i turned the Vantec up all the way, and two my dogs ran because it did sound like a Vacuum! lol

SO, Cold storm, after seeing these temps, do you beleive I should push the envelope with a stock cooler on the AW9D Max when I get it? Mind you I will have to re-apply the cheap TIM i got.

yeah, push to see what you can do! and try orthos for at lease 7 mins everytime your oc gets past windows... I, for one, believe if orthos runs between 7 to 10 mins it should be stable 24/7....
and temps are fine... I, for one again, believe that around 55c to maybe 60c for idle is fine for those... i wouldn't go past that! i say it because it useally goes about 20 degrees when you run orthos.
as for the picture! I think when i take pictures tomorrow for tpu, i'll show pics of before the plant falls and when it does... lol then that would be a crazy picture! lol

AW9d Max is known to hit an fsb wall of around 400FSB and I know I am not going to get that high with this proc.

well, with proper air flow, and a good psu, cpu cooler, you can get it pretty good! Well, i was able to hit past the wall that sneeky had with his stuff.. he couldn't get past 525 fsb, I believe, on a 6 multi and i was able to do 550... so you never know till you try.

Wrong. I've had Orthos lock my computer up over the 2 hour mark

I FOR ONE believe... and after two hours at full load??? why are you even doing that??? like i said, i for one believe that 7 mins is good to test... and if you think its wrong hat... i haven't had a bsod, or a failure yet by doing it like that...

I'm just telling you you're probably wrong. I test for stability overnight, or if I happen to be going somewhere for a long time when I try new settings. I believe anything over 8 hours is good, nothing less.
