A third option should have been added because some ppl that don`t have the card might press NO which renders the effort null.

Everyone who voted in the poll surely owns an RX 7900XT(X).

@W1zzard personally I would have asked for a gpuz screenshot next to an open Tpu user profile to validate ownership.

Because the militancy of some of the site trolls worries me.

Like the poll though.
So it's quite clear the efficacy of this pole's results are dubious at this point IMHO.

Funny how the moment a poll comes up asking if users have a bad experience with an AMD product suddenly the poll isnt accurate, yet this wasnt an issue with questions about nvidia. Hmmmm.......

Wasn't it, were choices validated for that poll.

No.

So same then, indicative but not definitive then eh.

Was there Even a poll, I don't recall one.

Cannot find one either.

It wouldn't be right for me to answer because I don't have the card.
But I'm sure not everyone has a problem.
This issue occurs in a specific product group.

Inaccuracy works both ways, so part of it is cancel itself out but you do get bigger than true sample size.

And, at least one other online poll show about the same 70-30 result so people bias behavior and vote is very similar all in all.

Yet everyone actually dealing with returns says 10%.

IE RMA departments instead of the public.

I bought my XTX a few days after launch from AMD's website. Never once have seen junction temp exceed 90°. In USA.
Various screenshots during gameplay. Windows 10, X570 Asus TUF, Main monitor is 3840 X 1600 at 144Hz. Secondary monitor 1080p at 144hz.

I just ordered a 7900 XT. I will chime in once I get it up and running. It's non-MBA, and it's not XTX, so theoretically I shouldn't have any thermal issues.

Since I don't own an RX 7900 XT(X) and "I don't own one" wasn't an option, the only honest answer was "no". Maybe "I don't own one" should be a third option.. (hint, hint!).

7900XTX Asrock reference owner here. The card has no problems with the vapor chamber whatsoever. The highest hotspot temp recorded in benchmarks was 81c.

love the complains of people who buy top end gpu with massive tdp and a stinky weak coolerfan on it
and not even ramping up the fans or change the cooler to a AIO solution or water cool it
nice try

Just installed my XFX 7900 XT Speedster MERC310 and tested it over the weekend. No temperature issues. The highest junction temp I had was 81C (with 45% fan speed).

Why do people vote if they don't have this GPU?!
This poll is poll-uted...
Yeah, the poll should really have the option "I just want to see the results".

So, I voted yes but that isn't entirely accurate.

I bought a 7900xtx XFX merc speedster 24GB for over 1300.

Waited almost four years to play half life Alyx, because I wanted a gpu that could handle those resolutions immersively. I am a half life fan, it is my favorite game next to doom, I'm that old so I wanted to play it in the most spectacular fashion as I could get nerdstalgic chills while playing and have continuity of my youthful recreation in a way that I could enjoy fully.

Seeing first hand that AMD is just as capital driven as Blue or Green team. I still want to stop things like the 4080 to happen (12 or 16gb versions), and $voted 7900xtx.

Alyx has been unplayable. Any VR game has been unplayable. It isn't the link cable, I've been using my mobile gpu with it for sometime and a further double check confirmed the same software on a different card works, as did the 3060ti I sold to move to a 7900xtx.

I don't know if it's just a defective model or what, but I've been searching for answers and toggling settings for about a week now and I'm going to return the card.

I used to love AMD making every single build through the years on their chipsets. I try to support the little guy, the underdog, someone who will bring balance to the force of the monopolistic hold Nvidia has. Their choice to price fix the market with Nvidia, producing subpar gpu for me, and pricing their chipsets and cpus like Intel has broken my brand loyalty.
Same exact story with a 6800xt a friend gave me hoping I’d be able to fit. VR basically unusable. I think AMD just doesn’t want to commit resources to what is essentially a small percentage of users who are going to buy nvidia 99% of the time anyway.

I would like to see more RDNA3 custom cards... Or Nvidia is getting my money, again

It's 7900 XTX or 4080 for me before summer

However most 7900 XTX cards are ugly so I am leaning towards 4080

AMD should also lower 7900XT price, pretty much no-one are going to pick 7900XT over 4070 Ti at its current pricing

Are you really basing your choice on looks? So if a new card comes out which is like a "living sculpture" but runs like "insert derogatory term here" you're going to buy that? Or a new card comes out, it's 73 million times faster than anything else out there but it's ugly as "insert derogatory term here", you're not going to buy that?

Yeah I prefer non-RGB non-gimmick cards.

Sapphire Nitro cards is ugly as hell, for example.

They all pretty much run the same, so design is the only thing that matters to me, however I check if cooling and temps are decent when I find a design I like.

You buy a card based on the chip that is on it. No card will be much faster than the other, when chip is identical. So why would I choose the ugly card..

Nvidia have way better designs in general. Most RDNA3 AIB designs seems rushed so far. Looking forward to MSI designs, at least they spent some time on them

It's almost like AMD don't want to sell RDNA3 with the prices they have.

As if anyone is going to let on, they've got an issue with all this brand loyalty at stake :D

This. I much prefer less RBG or at least very minimalist, they can keep badges and logos in nasty colours too.

MSI do tend to have a few clean cards, but they seem the same every iteration while SUPRIM gets 'bling-ier', Gaming X looks like it always does and VENTUS on occasion looks like a bare heatsink on a tatty PCB.
