System Name ICE-QUAD // ICE-CRUNCH
Processor Q6600 // 2x Xeon 5472
Memory 2GB DDR // 8GB FB-DIMM
Video Card(s) HD3850-AGP // FireGL 3400
Display(s) 2 x Samsung 204Ts = 3200x1200
Audio Device(s) Audigy 2
Software Windows Server 2003 R2 as a Workstation now migrated to W10 with regrets.
A US supercomputer called Roadrunner (commissioned in 2008) has been switched off by the Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico. For being too old. And has now been replaced with faster and more efficient supercruncher. Story here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-21993132

Please check this intel link before voting. I was surprised to see that ALL OF MY PCs are in fact 2008 designs or older. (Even though my workstation and CPUs were bought later, and have been upgraded, the design was actually 2008)
CPUs older than 2008 incl.

Core 2 Duo like E8xxx
Core 2 Quad like Q6xxx, even Q9xxx etc.
Atom N2xx
Atom Z5xx
Xeon E54xx (shit, that includes by CPU!)

How old is your CPU?

yep im running a q6600, and its still ok for me,

I'll have that roadrunner if its going to the scrapeyard in the sky ;)

Q6600 on my main rig
E2180 on my sister's rig
AMD Sempron SI-42 on my old notebook (note sure if this cpu was designed before 2008)

Pentium 4 and old Atom. Yes. :(

Got a 2700K in the main rig which is post 2008 and loads of older processors, some going way back to the late 90s. I actually have a fully working Pentium 3 PC!

E8600 Second Rig
E6600 Third Rig

i5-3750k (Main Rig!)

GF runs a qx9650 i built her.

Q6600 on main rig and a Pentium 4 on the 24/7 machine, I don't know the model, CPU-Z doesn't help.

Really? What's the motherboard with the P4? My last P4 was a 630 on an ASUS AG8, it was a solid overclocker.

I got a few p4s still shuffling web pages for kin and mandem ,they are all looking forward to this months Chimp challenge:)

some core2duo on a dell studio hybrid a pentium 4 with a HP desktop my rig. and a athlon II x2 9I think this one is 2008 or older.

Makes sense. Used to run a couple old dual Xeon servers until they weren't worth running anymore (noise, heat, performance, power draw).

Looks like I'm up to date, FX 8120, i5-3570K, 2 x Athlon II X2 250 (2010, core release 2009).

There is a Core 2 Duo sitting under my desk, but it hasn't been turned on in a year. More of a backup computer.

I've still got an N270 netbook and I'm pretty sure my Athlon X2 is pre-2008, so yep.

Still got the Q6600.

Also running a Q6600 as my linux box.

i7 920 is my newest cpu... November 2008, its pushing 4.5 years now but still adequate.

VIA Ezra 800 MHz

My main rig is a Z77-i5-3570K, but my shop PC running AllData 10.40 is an old VIA Ezra 800 MHz single core built in 2002 that came with 128 MB of PC2100 DDR (now has 768 MB) and a 6 GB hard drive (now has 250 GB). It actually runs okay for what it is, but the USB 1.1 ports are unbelievably slow - it took ~4 days to load 200+ GB of iso files (I was in no hurry!).

main rig is mid-09, most others are older. Voted the middle option.

My main machine has an i7 920, which was released in 2008. My secondary has an AMD 1090T, which was released in 2010. I also have a nearly full Phenom II 550 machine kicking around without a case or power supply. This chip was released in 2009.

Main rig is i3-540 3.06Hz @ 4.2Ghz (post 2008)
others include (all pre 2008) :

e8400
e2180
P4 630
PIII 1.0ghz
PIII 733Mhz
K6-3 400Mhz
P200
486DX4-100Mhz

all in fully pimped out machines :toast:

Only Media center PC is still using AM2 Athlon X2 4800 (pre 2009) , others are post 2009 CPUs.

Phenom II X6 1045T
Phenom II X4 810
Phenom II X3 720 BE
Athlon II X3 440
Athlon II X2 240
Athlon II X2 210e
Athlon X2 4800
APU E350

Laptops - One Dumb Atom (not sure which era)
APU E300

have few spare Semprons.

My secondary rig has a Q9550, great CPU.
back up rig has a E8400.

Core 2 Quad Q6600
2x Xeon E5320 in the server
2x Atom N270 netbooks

Edit forgot my Envy 13 with a SL9400
