As we live the age of game remakes, which game you would like to see to have a remake?

City Life 2007

For me i would like remake of

GTA 1 and 2 and this time in to 3D versions
NFS Underground 1 and 2
Far Cry 1 and 2
Most of the Crysis games has now goten a remake, but i have seen nothing about Crysis Warhead.
Wolfenstein 3D
Duke nukem 3D
DOOM the very first game

How epic would it be though to play pong at 20 FPS on a 4090. Would instabuy just for its meme value.

But honestly remakes... I have to agree.. just make something new that actually works already because most remakes are really not better than originals thus far.

Only if it's 20FPS with framegen.

I'm ok with an occasional remake done right ala RE2/4 and FF7R.

I second the idea of remaking both Drakan games - the first is one of my all time faves and I never got to play the 2nd due to it's PS2 only release.
Also titles that I'd like to see remade would be Oni & Omicron: The Nomad Soul ^_^
Especially since both of these were released somewhat unfinished back in the day.

Many console games of the 8 / 16 bits era ...
Welldone remade / remake like we see with Wonderboy, Toki, Actraiser or Alex Kidd recently ...
I'll include in this list : Faxanadu, Zelda II, Soulblazer etc ...

On PC, Test Drive Unlimited have so much potential !
Add Blaster Master to the well done remade list.

The greatest game of a generation........ PEPSIMAN

when I was a kid I had the Legend of Dragoon for my PS1, but I just never got around to seriously playing it. I always regretted that. Not sure what ever happened to my PS1 stuff, I still have a couple of my favorite games from PS1 in storage, but the rest of it I have no idea sadly.

I would like to also see Dark Cloud and Dark Cloud 2 re-made from the PS2 era. I really remember enjoying those.
My favourite JRPG if not counting Final Fantasy series. LoD is hella great!

Hate that I sold mine as a teen, these days it costs over 100EUR on ebay :D

I thought about it a little..

I would like to play Gran Turismo on PC, it all of its glory..

The way it was meant to be played

I haven't played it since PS1, and I refuse to buy another console just to play one game :D
You did miss out a bit I've hammered all the GT's except for 5 and would love them on pc, I'm torn now well picked, I love those games so much I did buy each console, I always felt I got my money's worth out in usage, GT is one of very few games I ever tried to do everything on, I didn't often manage it though and despite having and enjoying 7 I would like to see a maxed out PC version.
Maybe we'll find out one day on that one.

I was really choked that GT2 was PS2 only :D

After that I wrote it off lol

But I was playing the Japanese version 6 months before the North American version was released lol.. good times!

I also haven't seen the very first game that I ever finished.. that was Super Mario World on the original Game Boy :)

I wouldn't mind seeing that on the switch or something..

If someone says that its already there I am going to feel pretty dumb :)

Need For speed Underground 1 and Black Hawk Down
Delta Force, Medal of Honor series

Super Mario Land was on the OG Gameboy, Super Mario World was on the SNES/SF and GBA.

can just emulate it though, which is what I might do one of these days

Metal Gear Solid. I don't know how many times I played that game on my PlayStation. The only "old game" that I still possess.

First game I beat was either Tetris or Motorcross maniacs, Tetris had a amazing ending,MM not so much to say the least.

And I too managed to play a lot of very grey area PS2 games though that ended that era tbf to me I was young.

None.

For everything that's faithful, there's an equal number of cash grab pieces of garbage that besmirch the name of the old for more monetization.

I say this with only two games that I believe are perfect remakes. The first is Destroy All Humans, and the second is Bioshock Remastered. Both of these games took what worked, did a minimum of bizarro new monetization, and made it all work.

If I could be assured that all the old mechanics would be intact, I'd like to see a lot of games updated.
FF9 - I have little love for 7, but 9 was a good deal of fun. Vivi is still my mage of choice.
Fur Fighters - Platforming, gunning, and good stupid fun.
Timesplitters - The last game where gameplay was rewarded. No credit card needed, just enormous amounts of playing to unlock everything...plus that cheesy delicious humor.

I'd love to add Deadspace to my remake list...but I'm still boycotting EA. Denuvo is poison, their platform should just be Steam integrated, and they've killed more franchises than I can name in 60 seconds. "I don't like their business, so I'm just not going to buy it." They...may not have thought that comment out, but it's as true today as when they thought all of us sheeple would be too stupid to stop buying their annual rereleases with less content at higher prices.

If these games were improved when Remastered they might be good!

you must forget the drama around BioShock Remastered. at launch it used compressed audio files, making the sound worse, I believe the community was in uproar about it so they put the original audio files back in.

I might be remembering wrong, but pretty sure even Bioshock remastered screwed something up if I am remembering right

I would say Empire Earth on PC re-mastered would be great, because it does something no other RTS game does, it goes from caveman days to futuristic. it does need an update though, it did not age well.

Ironically enough, it already has a remake: The Twin Snakes for the GameCube, using MGS2 engine. It played amazingly.

I forgot about this... another one I might emulate someday.

The only game I personally know which uses Dolphin's swap disk function. Yes, MGS:TTS was a double-disk.
