I agree however, an interface doeasn't mean much if it's difficult to use the code behind it. I am an ATITool and Techpowerup fan, but damn, I wish there was better X18k and X19k support.

yeah thats very true...but im over here with my x800, so the code and the interface all work great for me ;)

Software Windows Server 2003 R2 as a Workstation now migrated to W10 with regrets.
ATI Tools is brilliant. But what is particularly useful about Tray Tools is that you can modify all sorts of driver settings WITHOUT having to install CCC bloat. In fact, its better than CCC, because you can have more than one profile. The software will also AUTOMATICALLY load a specific profile for a particular game. Great stuff.

Unfortunately, the name ATI Tools, and ATI Tray Tools, is so similar, even I get confused which is which!!! So I have both, and often launch the wrong one! But never mind, they are both excellent, and both programmers deserve praise. Thanks W1zzard, thanks Ray Adams. (Ray Adams is an odd name for a Russian... but I won't ask any further questions. LOL)

Thanks for that - Yea, "Ray" is porbably short for "Raymonov?" :rolleyes: Hey lemonadesoda, what card are you using it with???

Well, as others have mentioned, there's the sadly pathetic lack of Fan control in CCC, as well as more advanced OC'g tweaks. Fan control has got to be one of the highest raking features in ATITool, not to mention the find max clocks, etc.

The only reason I install CCC is:

The drivers only don't seem to contain the VIVO drivers, so I still get prompted with each logon if I don't install CCC - is there a way around this?

The CCC drivers allow overclocking of my new X1900XTX, albeit in a simple way. I haven't bore into ATITool because of the current X1900XTX issues.

Again, I am a huge ATITool fan, I have it running at this moment on a test machine here at work (controlling an X850XT PE) and had it at home on my X800GTO - before the X1900XTX arrived.

with ATi try tools you also get this when you bench, to kinda tell you where you are at with other cards.

yea thats the only prob with ati tool...lack of x18xx and x19xx cards...but it works great on the X800 series :)
