Just don't like anything with download in it. I try to point my dumb friends to TPU and this just hurts.

Not sure but those adds could be user generated via cookies or google. I get a camera add from amazon when I'm on the front page.

TPU has add's? I've never seen them. I do have Ad Blocker though.

I would guess your was from cookies I would think W1zz only has good add's.

I have an Amazon ad with recent items I looked at on Amazon.

The ads are ad-sense ads, so they'll display things related to your cookies.

Damn, that's a really dodgy ad, lol and makes it look as if TPU is promoting piracy. No doubt the culprits behind the ad did some kind of fiddle to get it on there as no legitimate site would promote this and certainly not google.

I get this too even i cleaned up all the shit in my browser and my whole computer. Follow the link maybe it could help but I'm pretty sure that it's the website owners who made it to get extra money.

Ad block plus, use it. - It is free and 95% of the time blocks things I want it to, and allows for custom settings, etc.

as much as i want to say leave the ads on for TPU's sake, ads like that shit me up the wall.

pretty sure this has happened before, and w1z can complain to the ad providers.

Why would you like us to leave the ads on? We don't want adds so we remove it.

yeah, the adds help pay for TPU and we wouldnt be able to moan about them without them lol

but there are a number of add blockers to install if your that bothered ;)

but for every add you block on TPU you potentially pull money from the site :(

i hate those "download" ads too. they are run by some companies at google adsense. i block them manually all the time so that you dont have to see them, but these guys always come up with new versions.

whats the destination url, so i can block it

i wish i had a screenshot of one time when i was at a site downloading a file, and there was at least 15 different 'download' ads... and i had no idea which was the legit one.

Well, I guess any ad that says something like "download <Windows/Office/Other expensive copyrighted software> here" is a piracy ad, lol.

Some of them are more obvious than others by the sound of it.
