It is leaps and bounds better in almost every way. BF3 looks and plays like an unfinished arcade shooter to me now.

1) I reinstalled operating system - Win 8.1 - and untouchted BF3 files (on HDD # 2) are undetected by Origin. Can I fix it without re-downloading it all?

2) Bought BF4 at Green gaming (I got no serial yet), and it is not available at all. CAn I preload it somehow?

The Origin app needs to know where they are. There is an "Origin Games" folder setting in Preferences. Change it to the folder where the BF3 folder is (and then it will put all other games there too going forward). You can change it again but not have multiple ones like Steam.

When it does detect BF3 the button should change from Download to Install.

And to preload/download you do need your activation key from green man then go to redeem product in Origin. You sure it's not there in your account on their site and/or in an email?

Well folks like me that went Game Fly got theirs a couple days early and thus could preload. I wouldn't worry too much; Green Man is fully legit as we all know. But maybe not a bad idea to try their customer support.

It's shite they do this with release dates. Pretty sure it just fuels piracy (for cracked codes).

It does work. I've now logged back out (ping was almost 500). I'll see if it's unlocked my game for normal non VPN use....

EDIT: Nope - without VPN it's back to Nov 1st release date....

How do you activate/unlock the XP bonuses? I got a bronze pack early this morning for hitting lvl 3 [WooHoo... I know its sad, I suck] with two XP bonuses. Do I right click or equip somehow? Or will they work automatically?

I can't wait to got on later tonight ... IT WAS GLORIOUS last night!!

Try disconnecting from the VPN after you are loading the game so it's not actually sending the packets across the world and back. I know it's possible but don't know if you have to do it at a certain time or whatever.

I read to hit ESC when in game and look "down on the right" and you should see how to activate the XP boost things. And it's game time not real time apparently. So you don't have to keep playing for a full hour to use it all.
