The delayed damage in this game has ruined it for me. Not dieing until after i go behind the wall etc...

Waiting til dice unfucks themselves before I play again..

Prior to rage quitting got the mtar tho.. and it's op as hell on small maps

I will admit that fucking drives me nut's too. You jump for cover and are around the corner or ducked and then you die.
As positive as I try to be for Dice, they really need to hurry up before they lose a ton of their fanbase.

I agree, that does seem to be more common now after the last update. I never had that trouble before it.

I really don't understand how DICE cannot get net code and hit detection working well. They have had YEARS to figure that shit out.

The "code base" is built and interconnected in ways we can't even really grasp. Also multiple teams and locations.That's why the China Rising stuff appeared early most like; they had no choice. Not trying to give them a pass but it's big and complex and changing or "fixing" one thing can have unintended consequences especially if the patch is rushed (but even when not).

Only noticed the cover problem for sure once; fairly certain detection was working fine in general last night anyway. Tonight had trouble finding a good match and also just straight disconnected once again. Suddenly get black screen and see the loading cursor top right for like ten seconds then back to desktop with no message even in battlelog.

I really don't understand how DICE cannot get net code and hit detection working well. They have had YEARS to figure that shit out.

For BF3 they switched hit detection from Serverside to Clientside and refuse to switch it back since it requires a decent amount of work. Why the hell they made the game like that in the first place is beyond me...

I got some of that weird video shit that act's like suppression, but I wasn't getting hit. I also had the perfect round to try out the XM25 and didn't
think about it until afterwards. I played like total shit. Remapped my key binding some and set up a more gamer friendly desk. Now I just have to get used to all the changes.

Good lord, where have you been. Some of us have been talking about that few pages back. Its the EMP effect from when the other teams commander deploys it. I hate it, its nauseating.

Ask your Mom ! Evidently I didn't read it. So if it is an EMP isn't that suppose to kill all electronic devises in the area, including vehicles ? Yes it is nauseating.
edit: So I read about it and it is supposed to disable vehicles. I did have a lot of vehicle in the area when they dropped it, but I didn't notice any being disabled.
Must have though.Do they stay disabled until they blow up or do they just snap out of it ?

I'm not yet totally convinced its really the EMP doing that but it could be. Fairly certain have seen on games with no enemy Commander. DICE is aware of it and will fix according to Twitter.

And, for the record, both BF3 and BF4 "hit detection" is a mix of client and server-side using complex algorithms and taking into account multiple factors.

Yeah, the EMP reasoning is bullocks, I kept harping on that in TS, apparently to no avail. It happens way too frequently and has zero effect on vehicles in the area. Like the rest of the bugs, I don't think they know what the heck is causing it.

Where have you been? EMP has nothing to do with the screen blur. There have been many screen shots on many forums with NO Commander on either team and people still get the blur. This is a Bonus Feature unintended by EA. Or as we call them F'ing Bugs.

Well obviously its a damn bug........................It appeared after the last update. I think out of the regulars playing in TS I was the first to notice it.

I haven't played much, but I it seems to me there are less bugs spoiling the fun on 32 and 48 servers. But, hit detection is just so god damn frustrating when your opponent takes no damage after a full clip to the torso.

Reminds me of the Malaria in Far Cry 2. I hated that shit too !

I know we are all frustrated and even upset at DICE but please let's stop taking it out on each other!

I agree with Alex that they probably don't know the exact cause...an unintended consequence of hastily pushing out the latest, possibly slightly tweaked build as a "patch" (the latest build being the China Rising update). Im still speculating though (and it was "only" a GB but maybe that's good chunk of the "base" code, idk...)

I'm not mad at DICE. Its a BF game. No BF game has EVER BEEN RELEASED BUG FREE. Dunno why everyone is so butt hurt. Its like they never played a PC game before.
