So in other words you bought Digital Deluxe? Yeah...except I preordered the base so as to be able to play beta plus from day 1 of launch. Got for $48. Not great but not bad.

I don't think so, sounds like he got the game + premium, if so that's $30 cheaper than at Origin. I'd be happy with a $25 or $20 Premium, not gonna bite for $39, especially if there are some hoops to be jumped through.

In other news, I hit 1000 kills with my beloved SCAR-H this afternoon.

My bad I thought that's what DD was (game + premium). At any rate, I'm envious of that deal he got but would not have wanted to wait a month after release.

Also, watch this guys, pretty hilarious

Thats nice but I personally prefer this one.

I was always a sucker for drums, Loved playing them but was forced to stop taking lessons because 1. Parents didnt want to buy me a drum kit - despite several offers from family friends who were willing to sell theirs cheap because they no longer played. 2. Parents didnt want to piss of the neighbours because they thought drums were too loud - totally ignoring the fact that you could use rubber drum mats, pads and cushions to dampen the noise

but somehow having lessons for 6 months was OK because it took place else where and not at home.

^ This but somehow they allowed me to purchase a 30w guitar amp which is 20x louder then any un-mic'd drum kit.

Stupidity for you......

Anyone know if a A8 5557m could play BF4?

I know settings would have to be all on low, but I'm fine with that. I'm just eyeing a Acer laptop at Amazon. Finding video of anyone using the gpu on an AMD APU for playing this game is a little hard. I've found some, but they seem a little too good even though most all the settings were on low.

I just need something to upgrade from this 2006 laptop I got a few years ago. Was good then, but it's killing me that it's not good enough to play any games with it's Gefore 6150 and the AMD Turion it's saddled with.

Look at my signature and the toshiba I have on it plays it on low. Don't use wifi if you can help it. That is where you will struggle. Mine plays it pretty well. Has some hiccups, but you can still enjoy it. I'd update the graphic's driver first though, which with these is a total pain in the ass. That 8500 Graphics should handle it. You may even get medium out of it. The 6620 does pretty good for only dedicating 500 mbs of GRAM. If it has 4 gigs of ram go to 8. 6 you are probably OK. Send me the make and model I can probably give you a close idea.

Here's the link to Amazon.

Though given that Newegg has the same deal on the same laptop, I'd probably go with them since I have to pay tax on Amazon.

It's a really good price, problem is people are saying they laptop is dying on them within a month or two of purchase.

Really ! I have had mine since Aug. 2012 and I use it everywhere I go when I leave home. My grandkids use it all the time and
I have had ZERO problems. Reviews you have to take in to effect are computer stupid people. The
first thing I did was research all reviews and figured out the problem on line and when I got it I took care of them all before even using it.
I am very happy with mine. Get it and research and fix the stupid people probs. I have even thought about throwing the Hybrib HD in it from Seagate,
but then thought why. I Don't really need speed for it. It is a laptop.
Though if you want that , Seagate make a kickass hybrid hard drive.

Success! All of my console friends are now playing BF4, with much praise to the game.

One of them was really impressed, commented on how smooth the gameplay was, I mentioned his only other experience was BF3 on the 360, which was craptacular compared to the PC.

it was a fluke. He was going to rev his team mate when he probably noticed a red dot on the mini-map right next to him and turned into the guy who was creeping up on him before he could initiate the knife kill script/action which there is no escaping from. though the scream from the guy who got shocked made me laugh a little. It was like a little pig squeal.

Depends on the competition. If it is normal people it isn't bad but if it is the elitists it does suck. I found if they are clanned up just hang it up.

I did a little more poking around. That system you are looking at should play a little better then my laptop. It dedicates a little more ram to the GPU and the processor is a little better. I'm guessing you should be able to mix Low and medium and get some playable frame rates. I only paid $350 for a refurb. That has windows 8 too doesn't it ? You will gain some frames there too. I'd do it. Definitely double the ram though.

suck more pls

Like I said judge away. I guess I'm just softcore

Eh I just didn't know at first and then once I did I totally started sucking. Already struggling to keep my KDR positive right now (though I know I shouldn't really care so much about that stat anyway). An enemy teammate even took it upon himself to tell me so in chat (re. sucking that is). I think it must have been one of two guys I got the drop on but then couldn't kill either cause I should have run right up on them and sprayed lasered MP7 death on both but instead decided to start firing from 5M away and through a handrail structure too for a fail.

Regardless whatever man I like my doritos and being able to spawn more places etc.

In other lighter news, I swear a SRAW rocket I had just fired at a helo and then abandoned looped around like a goddamn boomerang and killed me while crouching behind a rock. Well, it was less funny at the time.

Oh and not like you all can't figure this out for yourself but the Test Range is also great for oc stability testing.

Yeah Great place to check your bindings and set them with out actually dieing while trying :)You can test out vehicles and their weapons and leading targets I like it. Good feature for sure.

Yeah been testing TV missile control too; shoulda done that before trying to use in the field lol. First time I didnt really know what to expect (never used in BF3) and was like "whoa! holy shit!" and crashed nowhere near the target. Guess didn't expect the speed; but should be that fast at least I suppose.

If I view my own profile in battlelog, by "Playername's profile" I see the emblems "BF4" and an odd green symbol of a jet it looks like, for china rising, and only bought the basic BF4. Anyone else showing up this way? Would be a nice bonus for the crap we've had to put up with!

If you preordered the vanilla BF4 you automatically get the China Rising expansion as a kind of preorder "attaboy."

Oh that's right; thanks Alex.

Man guys if you have a 7950 you might want to think about selling it right now. Litecoin mining have sent prices through the roof last few weeks especially on eBay and especially the TF3s which can be undervolted. They are presently going for $300-$400. It's a bit ridiculous, frankly. I might post mine up instead of waiting to be able to get a second and buy a used 670 4GB instead. Or maybe a 280X.

That or wait for the bubble to pop and get another 7950 for ~$150 (or even less at that point) as was original plan.

If I view my own profile in battlelog, by "Playername's profile" I see the emblems "BF4" and an odd green symbol of a jet it looks like, for china rising, and only bought the basic BF4. Anyone else showing up this way? Would be a nice bonus for the crap we've had to put up with!

Yep I have it. I pre-ordered it though. Not sure if you ordered the basic version after release date if you get it. I'm sure some one will let us know.

I got the $20 deal and got the dl done in over 20 hours. The stinking Battlelog update wont take. It continually tells me to dl and install it, even though I have. I am on IE 11. This is pissing me off! Any pointers?

I heard others having to revert back to IE10. I went ahead and went with Firefox. Chrome has a problem with the plug in's installing so I just defaulted Firefox.

Yes, Battlelog is borked on IE11 unless you use Mailman's trick and go into internet options and mess with a few thingamajiggers. I don't remember which, I just use IE11 for browsing and Chrome for Battlelog.

Any way to set filters to avoid joining servers that have that blur affect?
