yeah go w/the hd2600xt.
x1950s are hard to come by now, mainly b/c they're good cards

only reason I got rid of my x1950 was b/c i changed to a pcie mobo
 
Well nothings set in stone, I can get a crossfire sk: 939 with pci-e on it for about 60-100 bucks but the same old prob of being in Canada comes up again lol.

I'm only researching a vid card upgrade rite now..

Opiate, you are complaining about the prices in Canada ;)?. Come in Europe and you will see ... :D a really high prices. I am always trying to get the PC components from US when I can of course. The disadvantage of delivering something to Europe is the 1-2 or more months waiting. You have the chance to live near and to have friend in US. Then just do it whatever the choice is. About HD3850 AGP you have to wait few days / weeks more unfortunately. Personally I would buy (for my old AGP system currently with X850XT PE would buy X1950GT/PRO AGP of course deppending on the price). But now to pay more than 200USD for 3850 AGP is stupid because the other components most probably will limit the card.
 
Well one thing? am I even correct in thinking the specs of the x1650gt I posted are too high and maybe BS. But if they are correct what is the problem with it?
 
the gpu is not that powerful and a 128bit mem bus
 
Opiate, the X1650GT perform on par to my 7600GS. I score 11k in 3Dmark03. Hope that helps.
 
and a x1950 around 17k
 
well get either a x1950pro/gt(if you can find one) or the HD2600XT

I will just say this .... your system is a tad bit behind my own, but my cpu kicks yours to the curb (No Offense).

I am still saying it's not worth the "upgrade".
