I've been on amd cards since I build this pc 2 years ago and with my recent purchase of a 1440p monitor which will be here Wednesday I feel I should make the jump up from my 7950 to a top of the top tier card.
My eyes have been on the line of 780's but I'm completely new to NVidia so I really don't know what cards are the best, which ones I should watch for sales on during the coming holiday spending spree. A friend of mine suggests MSI over anything else while another suggests EVGA so I'm torn in knowing who to go with.
I'd love to get a 780TI but I lack 700$ to drop and I don't own a credit card that can even cover that high of a purchase unfortunately.
My wishes are to get a solid 780 that overclocks well.
I also considered it but decided against it but would it be a better idea to try out a different card in SLI rather than the single 780.
After spending a ton of time comparing 1440p monitors for a week or so I'm dreading sitting and comparing gpus as well while also juggling ideas for other planned upgrades so any and all suggests would be very much appreciated.
Thanks guys.
