The BIOS update installed by the application doesn't even match my SKU. My SKU was previously identified as X7Y7 in the BIOS. The updater installed a BIOS update that was supposed to be installed on X7X7 SKU. By some miracle the laptop isn't dead but it's causing me a lot of issues in Windows from the graphics card not being recognized by nvidia drivers and some ports and the webcam flat out not functioning. I tried installing the correct BIOS update by downloading it from Gigabyte's website but since the current BIOS identifies the laptop as X7X7 SKU the moment I try to install the correct X7Y7 BIOS it says the device is not supported. Now I don't really know any other way to reverse this. Any help is much appreciated.

I would contact gigabyte support. Sadly that may be your only way out of this, and be prepared to be escalated a few times before you get anyone who knows anything.
Those guys are terrible. I had some minor issues and so I was asking for their support the other day and they still haven't replied.

Yeah. That's my experience as well. Sadly I don't know what else to do. Maybe someone else can chime in.
I've found a workaround to install the nvidia drivers by indicating inf files in device manager. But yeah the other stuff I have no idea.
Edit: Well shit, the control panel doesn't work anymore. DCH drivers or not.

How old is the laptop, is it under warranty still?
If the driver update software was preinstalled on the laptop you should be able to return it.
If you used a 3rd party driver updater the onus is on you to fix it.
If you can't return it the only possible option I can think of is using an eeprom writer to erase and rewrite the bios chip, good luck with that.

The laptop was used before I bought it. Also it was made on 2017 IIRC. So yeah there's no way I'd be able to return it. The so called driver updater was gigabytes own crap, but that won't do anything at this point.

Thanks to the wrong BIOS you might have a messed up SUBSYS_ID now.
As a workaround install latest GameReady driver via NVCleanstall
- unpack driver with 7zip
- select "use driver files from disk"
- select components to install
- select "add hardware support" under installation tweaks
- select name, then ID (the hex number from the right)
- select a GPU as template which is most similar to the target GPU

Yeah I figured it was the SUBSYS_ID messup is what's preventing me from installing the nvidia drivers. Thankfully it's only in terms of the GPU the SKUs diffrenciate with. I was able to install all the other drivers after reinstalling windows. Now using NVCleanInstall the nvidia driver is functioning properly.
Would you say following the steps in this thread is a good idea to get the SUBSYS_ID back to its's original value? I know original value from reading review of this exact same laptop and GPU-Z screenshots in it. https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/cant-override-pci-subsystem-id-with-6.262665/

Man how I hate being "protected" from modifying my hardware these days lol... Anyway I'll look up to that Mobile Pascal TDP Tweaker thing.
Taken a good look at the software. Pretty powerful tool to setup TDP and temp limits. Sadly I don't have a hardware programmer to flash any changes to the VBIOS at the moment.
