The newest motherboard based on the Intel B85 chipset by BIOSTAR is ready for work, play or to even literally make you money. The TB85 supports the Intel's 4th generation Core i7 and Core i5 processors in the 1150 package using the Intel B85 single chip architecture. The TB85 includes many features that are useful for IT departments in larger companies as well as small firms. BIOSTAR's TB85 boards deliver a business-rich option at a value price compared to the other companies.

The TB85 also offers a perfect choice for "Bitcoin Mining" with six PCI-E slots for users who wish to create a dedicated mining machine. With the TB85's PCI-E slots you get a value oriented motherboard that can be loaded up with graphic cards for mining. The BIOSTAR motherboards boasts 100% solid capacitors and with the Intel chipset and 4th generation Intel Core processor platform you get out-of-the-box solutions. These boards deliver better PC performance, manageability, and security protections with features like Intel Rapid Storage Technology (Intel RST), for fast system boot and application load time, and Intel Small Business Advantage (Intel SBA), which delivers business-centric security protection, such as after-hours virus scans and data backup, and blocks recognition of unwanted USB drives.

For any entertainment needs the TB85 fits the need with support for Direct3D 11.1 and HDMI. It also supports Blu-ray audio DRM and provides the higher audio output of 24 bit/ 192KHz rather than the 16 bit/ 48KHz from typical motherboards. The boards are Windows 8 ready and have BIOSTAR's BIO-Remote2 and BIOS Online Update feature for easy management of the system BIOS as well as BIOSTAR's Charger Booster function.

bitcoin mining is dead on pc

I'm all for boards that look like this though. I'm tired of seeing PCI slots. Throw a 16x (@8x) slot in there and it would look like a pretty nice board IMHO.

A day late and a dollar short, I'm afraid. Unless a new method pops up, the days of GPU mining are over.

Yeah I thought everyone used ASIC for that?

"Enjoy buying your PCIe extenders, morons." - Biostar

Not that it matters anymore anyway.

If they're going to advertise mining, then why are there not 7 PCIe x1 + 1x PCIe x16 slots on the board? It even looks like the board is laid out to have 8 slots (with non-normal spacing), but two of the PCIe connectors are not soldered on. I speculate that at the last minute Biostar decided to scrap the mining motherboard plans and advertise this as a business motherboard even though none of its features seem particularly suited to business use (two additional plugs for PCIe power for business use?).

I agree with you on the concept of eliminating PCI, but the B85 chipset used in this board doesn't support splitting of the processor's PCIe lanes.
