European PC components retailer Caseking.de posted an early video preview of BitFenix' next case, the Shinobi. This is an ATX Mid-Tower that looks to be positioned to hit a price sweetspot, and focuses on squeezing in the most in terms of features. Shinobi sports an all-black design (interior and exterior), with a "Soft Touch" coating the company toyed with on the Survivor (it's basically a thin rubberized layer). The case can accommodate three 5.25" drives, as many as eight 3.5" drives with a 2.5" adaptor; a standard sized ATX motherboard with holes at the right spots to ease cable and CPU cooler management.

Ventilation includes two 120 mm intakes in the front, a 120 mm side-panel intake, a 120 mm rear exhaust, and two 120 mm on top. Of these, fans are included for one front intake and one on the rear. Dust filters are in place for the front intakes and the PSU's intake at the bottom. The side panel sports a triangular window, while the rear features holes for water tubing. The utility panel is located on the top, and includes four USB 2.0 ports next to audio. Its price isn't out yet.

Seems like its going to be a cheap case. Cable management seems limited... also that window is just weird. But if its cheap, its a nice case!
 
seems like any cheap coolermaster case with a few hole and soft touch. the low end market does not need another case.

If the case is on par with both quality and price with say, a low end Xigmatek case (Asgard or whats it called), then its a considerable choice.

59.90 Euros for the windowed verision
49.90 Euros for the plain side panel

Why would it cost more for a plain side (window less) :confused:
 
i like the looks of it clean and sleek styling side panel window is a bit interesting not my first choices but its a nice design, im tired of full side windows that show off HDD racks and shit, i dont care to look at HDs lol. so overall looks fairly decent, wire management appears to be focused on Modular PSUs aka enough routing for a modular but not enough room to route cables of say a 750TX or similar. 6 fans placments is nice looks like it has room to mount a 240mm rad inside at the very least, overall looks to be a damn nice case from the looks, Im also happy to see less 5.25 bays and more 3.5 bays, i might pick this up if the price in USD is low enough

The guy says there's very much room between the backplate and the side panel, altho it doesn't really look like that. Also he says that even large GPUs fit, it goes like six centimeters (2.36220472 inches for you imperial bastards) beyond an ATX board.
 
hmmm well if it comes out in the USA and the price dosent suck maybe just MAYBE ill buy one for my bulldozer build

There isn't anything more said in the video than in the text by bta. Expect for the price and the facts that it takes long graphics cards and has enough space between backplate and side panel.

You know Germans tend to just tell whats on a fact sheet. Thats why the car shows here are so incredibly boring.
