Wouldn't bandwidth of a Dual Channel DDR3 2500MHz be

120GB/s if the program used DDR3/DC to it's fullest
40GB/s if the program used DC to it's fullest
20GB/s if the program used nothing but the clock rate to it's fullest?

I don't think that would change regardless...AMD has the fastest memory interconnects in the world so it's pift lol

and I am pretty sure it's not going to be any different from this leak from the same guy lol

It's a shame none of the benchmarks shown actually work properly. That being said the bandwidth results are not very good in AIDA64 but as nothing else working right, who know's if that is anywhere near accurate either.

It seems some folks(obr from czech PCT website) can't keep their mouth shut. The guy in question has been known for his hatred towards AMD since ages ago, but that's beside the point.

Good question. Hell, I've not many who were able to get 8GB stable on anything over 1866 with reasonable timings...but back on topic please. I don't want this to turn into a SB thread.

My MIVE has a setting for DDR3 2400 but my dominators are not happy over 2133..

Not really. With the right sticks ~6000MB/s to be gained from 1333 MHz to 2133 MHz. Latency can drop from 57ns to 35ns though, near helf.

well timings are very important to phenom II so I'd assume so. The big question is whether bulldozer will be powerful enough to push it. Kinda like 939 vs 462, sure 462 had dual channel ddr400, but put that same memory into a 939 rig and watch it double it's bandwidth.

while the on chip memory controller did contribute to that, the main boost was from the more powerful 939 cpus.

If bulldozer can live up to its performance potential then 2500MHZ memory may be the overclockers norm, if not 1866 may be more practical.

Even if AMD doesn't like tight timings, those timings suck!

Timings matter more than some people realize. I CAN run my cpu over 4ghz with this ram, but the timings have to be turned down and it benchmarks with a better score where it is at.
