Bulletstorm: menu glitch

I'm having the most frustrating glitch with the game menu...

I can't change most of the video options in the game menu. It's acting like I'm holding down the left arrow key when I try to adjust any settings like resolution or texture detail, etc. This is very frustrating since it forces everything to the lowest settings when I try to raise them. It even does it when I unplug my keyboard or mouse. I have nothing else connected to the pc other than mouse, keyboard, speakers, monitor, and network cable. any ideas?

all i want to do is change the texture detail from medium to high (or w/e the highest setting is) and maybe apply AA.

look for Bulletstorm/StormGame/Config

use BulletStormINIeditor.exe Google it

you should be able to open up the config files and change anything you need to. Or so I would think you can increase FOV / Disable mouse smoothing etc and I would expect be able to set your visual graphic settings as well. Not really a fix to your problem mostly just a way to potentially bypass it.

so far i've found something relating to some set of presets, 5 different levels, based on the hardware the game detects, but nothing for setting the options manually

edit: i think i've found the setting but its not like the layout in the menu, like low, med, high, etc. looks like there are at least 20 different things to edit and i'm not sure what the game considers as "high" detail...

I dont own Bulletstorm if I did i would walk you through it but thats about all i can offer for help at the moment.

i figured out the problem... seems the app Unified Remote installed a virtual controller driver that the game thought was an xbox 360 controller. I uninstalled the app and now everything is normal.
