The PC specifications for Call of Duty: Black Ops have been released by Direct2Drive (via Eurogramer). Is your PC up to the task?
Minimum System Requirements ■OS: Windows Vista/XP/7
■Processor: Intel Core2 Duo E6600 or AMD Phenom X3 8750 or better
■Memory: 2GB
■HDD: 12GB
■Video: Shader 3.0 or better 256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600GT/ATI Radeon X1950Pro or better
■Sound: DirectX 9.0c-compatible
■DirectX: 9.0c
The PC version of Call of Duty: Black Ops will use Steamworks for DRM and will sort of support dedicated servers through an exclusive partnership with GameServers.com. It will be released on November 9 for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. Like Modern Warfare 2, the PC version will be $60.

Big LOL. I wonder whats up with those inflated cpu's. I know folks who played MW2 on p4's and it ran fine. And knowing that the game won't be drastically different from the last one... Oh well, why bother?

Obviously with those graphics card requirements. Not surprising, I've already stated that we're only going to see console ports for most FPS games from now on, at least from the "big players."

Edit: Not to mention that they don't even use DX10 for minimum requirements. What a joke.

i suppose its a joke. One of the things i love bout CoD is that it still uses Dx9. Okay yes there are some Dx10 things i'd like to see, but overall i think CoD:WM2 looks pretty dam good for dx9, i've seen dx10 games that don't look as good.

I might eventually. I bought MW2 but with gift cards so I technically didn't buy it. Great single player but a crappy multiplayer.

I loved the SP campaigns on MW, WaW & MW2. Hopefully BO will be just as good, if not better (tbh, the trailers look pretty epic!). I have a few friends on XBL so I usually get drawn into the MP aswell But with all the 'perks' and 'killstreak' rewards, MW2 does get as bit manic I hope they have put a stop to the sprinting stab artists on this one lol

Hell yeah man, I was so frustrated with the knifers that I resorted to scavenger/danger close and Grenade Launcher combo just to piss em off! Anyways, I wonder whats up with all these perks? Quick scoping... Scavenger... They need to go back to the roots a lil. Thankfully in the 60's/70's, they weren't a lot of tech available, so it might be better. Err forget the rc-cars though.

Don't think I'll be buying another FPS until Brink and NS2 come out. This game looks like more of the same MW2 trash with dedicated servers provided by a notoriously bad company.

I bet there are as many DX9c games in development right now as there are DX10/11. According to Wiki there are only about 10-12 unreleased DX10/11 games.

I'll buy this game in two years when the price is reasonable.

FYI, MOH is DX9 according to EVGA Precision. I'm careless about DX because there are so many games out there that look just fine in DX9.

I will wait for this to drop around $39.99 or get a used copy! I have never bought any COD games that have a price tag over $49.99.

Well if it will alllow you to go off line and play LAN games I'm good with it. I'm getting it regardless.
IF COD lets me down this time I'm through. I'm having a good time on MOD 2010.
It isn't COD 4, or BFBC 2 ? Not even close, but I'll enjoy it until BO.
I have a long way to go on MoH on SP still too.

Whoever puts more money into Activision pocket with this after being ripped off with MW2 should go burn in hell.
I don't care if the game is good. Activision robbed me with MW2 saying that its a shooter game but it turned out to be a lobby without text chat.
