What's BS about it? It's really not that hard...at all.

Looks like I'll be trying these on Saturday.

HUH :wtf: Having to pull one of those cards out while installing the first one then praying that its works so you can put the 2nd card in & restarting your PC 4 times is hardly what I would call an easy process. My idiot friend blew his HD trying to install CFx

Pulling a card out while installing drivers!?!?!? WTF ARE YOU DOING!?!?!?!?!!?

Install 1 card with new drivers. Make sure it's good to go after all restarts. Then, shut down, install 2nd card WITHOUT bridge. Let the drivers catch up. Shut down. Install additional cards 1 by 1 in a similar fashion. Once that's all done and good, shut down, pop on bridges, boot, go into CCC, and enable CFX.

See? Really not that hard. I think whoever told your friend how to install CFX was an nVidia fanboy trying to get him to kill a car...and he succeeded. NEVER pull a card out while the computer's on!!! I think you and your friend need to go beat the shit out of whoever told you to do that...

OK you're just being silly now, but that would be funny as hell: pulling out the card while installing the drivers

Okay that's what I thought you meant. Thank God.

Honestly, it doesn't take that long, and it's not that card. I have no idea how your buddy managed to kill a card, though.

I bet these drivers support the cross-generation hybrid-crossfire so I can run my x2 alongside a 4870. I would also bet that these with the release of the 4000 series will allow more than 4 GPUs. I might want to try two 3870x2s with a 4870 :D

Someone posted these in another thread, I presume it's the 3850 AGP thread intel igent created a while ago. I had a bash at them, they seemed to work well, however they weren't stable with high OC's, I kept blue-screening if I pushed my 3850 too high, but with the 8.5's I don't get any.

Hoping that'll be fixed upon release, should only be a matter of days now, 7 at the most I would have thought.
