Help W/ Cooling! Need advice soon!

So, my ThermalTake BigWater SE didn't fit in my case, so I'm now looking for new coolers.
Here are my choices:
Zalman CNPS 9500 LED
or ThermalTake BigTyphoon

Which one is better for my Intel Pentium D 820? I'm also adding an 80mm exhaust fan for my side panel and maybe a 120mm exhaust fan for my rear, both Antec TriCool w/ Blue LED's.

Any suggestions, thanks!

Anyone? I need to know which is better before I buy tonight.
Thanks,

Here's my case:
http://www.digiconcepts.com/supertalent_cases_05.htm

The only difference is the door and mine has a window.

I have 1 120mm Antec TriCool fan intaking air in the front to the harddrives. Than fan is fine with me, I don't want to change it. Then, I have 1 generic 80mm fan that came with the case, which I want to change. I also have 1 generic 120mm fan that came with the case. I want to change those 2 with 120mm and 80mm Antec TriCool Blue LED fans.

I think that airflow should be fine.

Now, my processor is an Intel Pentium D 820 2.8GHZ @ 3.3GHZ. So, which one would be better, Zalman CNPS 9500 LED or the TT BigTyphoon?

Thanks!

I would def get the zalman. Facing the back it will suck from the front and blow out the back.

Thw TT big Typh will just blow at the mobo spreading warm air all over the place.

And I would not put a fan in the window unless I used the Big typhoon.

better to suck air in from front and spit it out the back. If you add stuff in the middle it messes up the flow of the air.

Are you sure?

Would my airflow be good enough though, with the three Antec's intaking in frone and exhausting on the side and rear?

For your comp I would cut out the front 2 fans. But make sure the metal is trimmed away from the fans and this will be killer.

One 120mm Antec Fan intaking in the front(79 CFM). I'm also going to get one Antec 80mm fan for the side window(34CFM) and one more Antec 120mm fan in the rear(79CFM).

So... which cooler should it be? This is my setup for now. If you have any more suggestions markkleb, say so.

Thanks

What!?! Why not? What's wrong with it? Should it be intake or exhaust? It has duct that I can take out too!

The metal came trimmed on the back anyway. I'm too lazy to trim the front one!

If you arent going to listen why ask for advise?

I have said why several times so far...

I'm listening to your advice. Don't worry.

I think I have good airflow right now. Almost the same as that pic.
79CFM intaking in front, 79CFM exhausting in back, and the PSU is also exhausting.

Now, all I need is a CPU Cooler.

Would it be fine if my side panel fan was also intaking, or should I just remove it and put a fan guard(grille) on it?

If there is metal in front of ur fan you have mabye 1/4 to 1/2 of its flow. Plus the plastic case front.

There is noe metal in the back. it's like the first pic you posted. The front one has little metal, but like you said, I'll cut it.

Should I just take out the side fan?

What cooler should i get? I'm going to go out and buy in an hour, BigTyphoon or Zalman CNPS 9500 LED?

I cut the intake and exhaust on my case, it helped dramatically.

These are all sunon 40CFM fans, and my case literally feels like a wind tunnel.

BTW, both heatsinks are awesome, you can't go wrong with either. I've personally seen a Zalman 9500 in action, and I recommend it highly, but I have also heard great things about the big typhoon, just ask Drade what it did for his system.

He had a BigWater, he swapped to a BigTyphoon and temps went down a lot.

Hmm... nice bigboi86. I'll try that.
What CPU Cooler should I get though, the Zalman CNPS 9500 LED or the TT BigTyphoon?

Along with those two, I'm getting an Antec 120mm fan for the rear exhaust.

Thanks

I edited my post above, but after doing some more research people seem to favor the Big Typhoon.

It is also upgradeable, you can always put a high CFM fan on with a fan controller, so you can have nice overclocking sessions with the fan on high, but turn it down for daily use. It would be extremely hard to change the fan on the Zalman.

So go with the BT.

Alright, thanks! I'll get the bigTyphoon then.

here's what I'm going to get tonight or tomorrow:
1x Antec 120mm TriCool Blue LED fan(for rear exhaust)
1x Antec 80mm TriCool Blue LED fan(for side panel intake or exhaust)
Maybe another Antec 120mm for the BigTyphoon(the BigTyphoon fan is only 54 CFM, the Antec is 79CFM)

So basically, it's going to be 120mm fan in front intaking(79CFM), one in side intake/exhausting(34CFM) and one on rear exhausting(79CFM). Sound good bigboi?

Should i even change the BigTyphoon fan, or does 54CFM sound good for now?

54CFM is plenty to give great temps, but if you want REALLY high performance air, get a ~100cfm fan and put it on there. Some people will find this overkill, and it's gonna be loud, but that's why you put it on a fan controller.

The Antec's are quiet though, and they also have a fan controler with 3-speed settings.

I don't really care much about noise. I don't wwant it to be 60dba or something like that but 40-50 is fine because most of the time I either have really loud rap music(my neighbors get mad) or a headset!

I'm probably going to get an Antec for the BigTyphoon, but not now, later.

Hey Azn Tr14dz, how did you overclock your Pentium D 820?? I've got a Pentium D 920 running at the stock 2.8GHz. What did you use to do it, and how?

He probably used the BIOS to overclock, like 99% of everyone else.

You should read some overclocking guides before you mess something up.
