well, i think i have an x-mas list for my mom lol
a corsair h50 for my cpu, with 2 of the below fans in a push pull config
i think i decided on the coolermaster cosmos 1000 case to fit my new cpu cooler hehe
then im gonna replace the 4 120mm fans with 5 of these

if u guys have other suggestions as far as case or fans lemme know

i got a fan controller i will be using so noise isnt a big issue with the fans.

Come here just for CPU cooler advise end up buying a case and fans aswell

it sucks my current case wont acomadate(thats spelled wrong) the h50, it really sucks!
i've known that my current 80mm fan setup has been outdated for awhile but was content with it....that wierd cirupipe thing on my mb though, limiting my options cooler wise, was just the last straw
and x-mas is coming so i might as well use it

yeah, the h50 wont fit in my current rig. but i was gonna ask for theh50 as a xmas presetn anyway, so i might as well get a new case and some new fans while im at it, and then the h50 will fit nicely

how do i get the h50 on sale at bestbuy? i went to thier website and it was 79.99 or something. as to the antec 300, its too small for waht im lookin for, and not nearly enough fans! im lookin forward to the cooler master case...especially because it has handles lol. something the xaser is lacking
but, the xaser lasted me 7 years, if the cooler master case lasts 5 i will be happy with it.

i saw that in the FS thread, and thought about it, but i would still have the problem of either blowing the hot air toward my psu or toward my mb heatsink and vc
with the h50 it goes directly out of my case

if you use the fans to pull air across the ram then exaust out of the back fan it will cool the vrm heatsink in turn keeping all of the pipes cool

also if your going to go with watercooling you might want to consider a fan to blow down on the socket of the cpu to keep those heatpipes on your board cool

i cant mount the heatsink that way because of the heatpipes

as for cooling on the heat pipes, i relay on case air flow, and havent yet had a problem. when i do there are fans that i think antec makes that u can put into one of the MB screw holes and direct onto the heat pipe assemblys
