Cyberpunk 2077 recently got support for AMD's FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.0 through a community mod. The addon converts the officially-supported DLSS render path into instructions that the AMD FSR 2.0 algorithm understands, with excellent results.

1080p FSR2 missing grass on the right.

Woah, looks really good here. I see a little aliasing along the palm trees with the specular highlighting in the video, but still really impressed

45% performance increase FSR2 quality vs 4k native. I'll take it.

Is it just me or is FSR 2.0 actually looking much better than DLSS at 4K and 1440p?
Seems to have less LoD on the DLSS ! (at a FPS cost if you look at the number)

No it's not just you. All three settings in 4K FSR 2.0 are looking better than 4K DLSS Quality mode

Surely better than FSR 1.0, which visually didn't differ from 1080p, but you still can see noticeable staircase effect on the curb left of the car. DLSS resolution is almost native.

I guess it looks more alright than debating the legalities of sharing a DLSS DLL file. I'm not entirely sure, but I think it objectively looks superior to a month long debate over that.

you tested it with nvidia, try an amd gpu and you'll see all the bugs (except ghosting) are gone.
they're quite similar to dlss 2.3.4~

And yes, it has bugs with the nvidia driver the developer has confirmed and it doesn't exist on rdna2 (reflection issues etc) and it's missing SSR reflection and not RT reflections.

Somehow the image looks slightly softer in DLSS, but at the same time it has a 10fps advantage with FSR

This is a great mod even if the result isn't as good as DLSS. It's still got potential to add FSR 2.0 to every DLSS 2.0+ game and that's pretty handy.
Very game specific hacks were needed to make this work.

Very impressed with this mod, and this has the potential to be a huge deal if it becomes a drop-in replacement for DLSS like DXVK is for D3D.

And it looks like the creator is interesting in doing that.

Still, I'm going to have to tweak the project for every single game anyways, so it doesn't really matter if I start with cyberpunk or any other game.

Quick! Someone get this guy every DLSS game ever made so he can test them!

You can't really compare FSR 1.0 to 2.0 as FSR ultra quality is only 77% screen percentage when FSR 2.0 is 1.5%, which is max for FSR 2.0, FSR 1.0 allows you to set any screen percentage having it set to say 85% will make it look just as good as FSR 2.0.

I think this kind of tech is amazing outside visual safari games, where no one cares about the little details. In this type of games the comparison is good enough in most modes, you'd have to be very observant to see the differences.

FSR 2.0 looks quite better than DLSS. You should have tested it on an Radeon card, it works better.

Can't wait to test this mod, I was just preparing to start the game and I had decided that I will use FSR 1.0, but this is great news.

Very respectable performance for a simple mod, hopefully full FSR 2.0 comes from the devs soon.

Image quality is very impressive! I prefer it over DLSS quality, but performance loss is greater so that evens things out.

Could be though that Radeon loses about the same performance as it would with DLSS, this test lacks Radeon testing.
