Couple day ago i recieved my graphing card "Diamond ATI 3870) and when I installed it everything is fine untill every time you turn off your computer and wait 5 minutes then turn back on the computerm the screen will show this message " You have not connected to power cable to your video card". I have tried different plug from power supply no result. Only way to solve this so far is you have to turn power down from back of computer then turn it on then everything will be normal, but if u shut down computer and turn back on the problem still present. Plz help me!! does my card has problems :slap:?

Sounds more like your power supply can't provide enough amps to the card. Can you please list all specs?

PS: Welcome to TPU! :)

sorry to heard that man, but i had the same problem with my viziontek HD3780, and i tried everything [even bought a better PSU] thinking it was something else and not even a BIOS flash didn't fix it. so the only solution was to RMA it. :(

Make sure that you connected the cable that comes with the card and that you PSU could handle it. And post your specs so we can help you.

Your PSU might have a shorted out connector thats a dud. Use the included Molex adapter. If that doesn't work, check if your PCI-E slot and graphics card are properly seated. If that doesn't workm then reinstall yuor drivers and hope for the best by downloading new ones.

Well, it is a Diamond ATI card... if all hope is lost then its best to return it and go for a refund just in case. Try good companies like Asus and Sapphire, as Diamond is well known for buggy cards now. Then on the other hand I could be wrong with the HD 3870...

Before you RMA, any possibility you can test with a different power supply or (I know this sounds funny) with the PCIe 6 pin disconnected?
