If the parts were real they were not in his possession.

He was caught for shoplifting recently (the headphones I was supposed to be receiving )

He problably was stealing this hardware to pay his fines and whatnot, only to post up another apology probably :shadedshu

You people arguing about HEAT need to realize a coupe things: negative evals can be removed by contacting the admins over there AND his prior transactions were legit. Everytime I dealt with him things were extremely fishy (read my HEAT evals on him), but everytime the items came in. Doing business with him is like meeting someone @ 2AM for a CL deal, know what I mean Kant?

Macon is 3.5 hours away from me, probably even more for you in Florida. My gramps live up there. I don't think anyone needs to be taking road trips to confront the dude, just let this get settled out by the fuzz and try to get any packages already sent routed back.

It was sort of funny. Charper sent me a message offering me a slim DVD burner I had a WTB on, he was asking $30. I talked to Adcom on Steam yesterday (I had forgotten that Charper and Adcom were different people). I asked him about the DVD drive and he came down in like 2 seconds to $10 shipped. So not only was Adcom using Charper's account, but there was most likely no DVD drive to begin with Never sent either one any money though.

I am going down there yes but this kid is smart something tells me the stuff will dissapear as soon as he gets it, I would say do a intercept and do it as soon as the post office opens on monday. RM how did you ship the items?? if you sent them priority mail you absolutely can intercept. I sent mine at 9 am saturday morning and it will be in transit until saturday, IF you get the intercept done first thing monday, the second that package gets scanned even if its at his post office it will go straight back to you, they WILL NOT deliver. see my package was taken in NH last night at 9pm i am going down at 9 am tomorrow. 3-5 business days. if it were overnight air mail thats different.

I am really shocked to see Charper involved in this mess. A few months ago we used to talk some on steam, just about pc stuff, games and the usual possible upgrades he wanted or aspired about doing. In that time we spoke he would often mention he had to stay at his Aunt's house or another relatives house.. He wouldnt go into detail but I could surely tell this kid was in an unstable environment.. maybe not so much has hostile but surely unpleasant.

He used to talk about how he wanted to sell his stuff so he could buy new clothes and I thought "what kind of 15 year old has to sell his belongings for clothes?" but I never really tried to learn why because I was keeping the relationship centered around strictly PC talk and what not.. everyone knows how it is when you start asking too many questions.. you might not like the answers so I just kept it TPU style with him.

I had 2 HIS 5770's and was thinking of selling them, he was trying to play Dirt 2 and really had the bug to check out DX11 so he asked me if I wanted to trade one for a 4890.. I knew I didn't want to use the 4890 but I figure I could re-sell it, do him a favor and make probably the same as I would if I sold the 5770 straight up. I sent him the 5770 and I asked if he would just hold onto the 4890 until I figured out what I wanted to do with it, maybe have him sell it and pay me cash and save on shipping or have him ship it to me within a few days of him getting the 5770 so he could be sure this is the card he wanted to keep...

To make a long story short.. I saw blkhogan post a WTB for a 4890, so I let him know I had one and he liked the price I wanted and told me he would ship me an money order. He did pay me but it did however take a little time which wasn't blkhogans fault, he had some real-life problems with one of his parents and a medial emergency so I totally understood.. I bring this up because this caused a delay in payment and a length of time that charper sat on the card. Well when the money arrived I Pm'd charper and said "yo dude, here is blkhogans address when can you send the card?" He replied back later that day and the DC# was waiting in my inbox, the card arrived just as described to blkhogan and all was good..

I sent that 5770 to a guy with no heatware, no camera to take pics (although i sent him a webcam i didnt use iirc so he could list his psu and some other parts he wanted to sell on tpu) and we've only talked for about a week. After going through a trade like that I would have never thought this kid would get involved in something like this and it doesn't make it right but I would think it may be out of desperation? Or environment? Influence?

Whatever it is I know I am very shocked to see this and despite him ripping people off or not (i dont know details about who or what was jacked) I am still a little concerned about this dude that just liked to play MW2, went to school and liked surfing on TPU to escape the everyday madness of what might be an unstable childhood or something...

I know it's easy for me to say because I am not the one that didn't get paid for selling something but I really hope this isn't the start of a life of crime for this guy, he seemed like a good kid with good intentions and I always feel a bit saddened when I see teenagers get sucked into the ways of the older or more influential kids they hang around.. or in this case his cousin possibly.

I hope it all gets resolved.


Also, charper tried to sell me a 5850 the other day, but i lost interest.. now that I look back.. it really seemed different how he talked to me on PM and how we used to talk.. it didnt seem like the same charper.. almost as if the way he writes his sentences and use of words were different.

Shev, he seemed the same to me, but I do not talk to him a whole lot at all. Its probably best to wait and see what turns up on Monday with OC101 instead of speculating further (although I am already accepting this as a loss in my particular case).

Looking at my heatware I can't believe it was 6 months since the 5770 trade... wow time flys.

I guess 5-6 months of living in a new environment with shady people is enough to get you on their bandwagon. Such a shame.

i edited my heatware eval for him, I tried to change to neutral but Id have to contact an admin. He should get an email though saying it was changed, I asked him to just deny shipment and the items will return to the owners. Hopefully he does the right thing.

well he told me straight out on steam chat he hasnt shipped ANYONES items out, so I would only wait to do something if you have no other option, hell worst case scenario if you haveyour stuff re routed, you get your stuff and the stuff he "sent" you then you send your stuff back to him.

He left me a negative feedback awhile back for a DVD burner I sold him. Said it messed up 2 of his dvd's he was trying to watch. I offered to give him his money back IF he sent me the drive back first. He agreed to send it back but never did, only left the negative feedback. Well about a month ago he had changed it to a positive one and apologized to me on here... I assume he wanted the negative off of his list, so that he could scam everyone... Sorry to hear about everyone's bad trades with him. Hope things turn out ok for everyone
