FPS = First Person Shooter.... Third person shooter was created because of the consoles.

There was competitive FPS gaming before COD came along, 1942 DC mod had a ton of clans that were very competitive and that had lots of vehicles. Just had to have people good at all forms of things and a good strategy, vehicles are not made for kids, that I will have to disagree on.

It's not that there isn't good ones out there, it's that reaction time you don't get. Like on Bad Company 2 on console, I can be running straight and in the corner of my screen I can see a guy coming up on me to knife me, but sometimes you just can't turn fast enough to stop him, on PC you can. And it bothers me to no end when it's a limitation of hardware, when I can see something coming, but it's impossible to stop. Or even if you see someone give away their location on the minimap right behind you, but on a console you would take too long to turn around and kill them, so you just have to keep sprinting and hope to get away. On BC2 I kill people who think they are sneaking up on me all the time.

I know that, but in CoD vehicles are very much for public kids...

I played competitive BF2 before with vehicles, yes... and I was the helicopter pilot/gunner for a long time so I'm aware that it can very much be competitive

But in terms of CoD, it's a big no no

Actually m8, Gears Of War is 3rd person, ie you can see your character on the screen.

MOH is basically a straight-up MW2 copy. The SP plays almost exactly like MW2 except it's less fun and exciting(they even have similar dialog "You take one out I will do the other" lol what?). the MP is extremely underwhelming by DICE standard.

I don't see any point in comparing shit titles to each other. Just a new commercial game released nothing new since MW1 or BF2 so lets all get back to idling in BC2/TF2 until year 2874 when a real FPS game will be released.

Seriously? A game where aiming is not a necessary skill is a good shooter?
The last time I saw auto-aiming being annoying like that was in Rebel Assault 2...
GoW2 didn't hit the PC because it sucked royal ass compared to real PC shooters, just like GoW1 did.

If any console could do a decent FPS it's the Wii, the Wiimote is perfectly convertible to a gun. Maybe Sony will do something like that with the PS Move.

But MoH vs CoD? The name Medal of Honor is simply being dug up because gamers like us remember the good ol' days up and including MoH:AA. Next, EA seeks some controversy in the news, boiling up the buzz, and the game will sell either way upon release.

These guys are market specialists. They know what they are doing as far as sales are concerned. Is the game any good? Is it better than CoD? That's irrelevant.

Well I agree with you on everything but the gear. U.S. soliders carry alot more then 50kg into combat sometimes (saw gunner).

I agree, auto aiming is a huge turn off for gaming for me, and joysticks.

loved Medal Of Honor beta, too bad it was so short

Meh it was a marketing ploy, they made it an open beta to try to hook fans. But they made Levels 1-3 really suck so players they were trying to 'hook' probably lost interest.
I kinda got into it on the last day when I hit level 4.

Well, the new MOH may be a copy (as far as multiplayer, achievements etc) but the things it 'copies' are the things gamers are screaming for so its not fair to say its copying. If those features are not what we want we have to say it. Also CoD is a copy of MoH, The CoD1 team just picked up where the MoH team dropped the ball.

I still play CSS more than any other multiplayer game. I like to work for my headshots.
