Do EA seriously think that they can compete with Activision? (MoH Vs CoD)

IMO COD MW1 was great but MW2's multiplayer was garbage. ive played the close and open beta of MOH and i must say is ridiculous and stupid. I cannot see how they failed after making BC2.

Even those BC2 had bugs when it was released, its still one of my all time favorite FPS that i have played. I just hope and pray that they do the same with battlefield 3 and that IMO would probly take the FPS crown

this is EXACTLY my point of view, i would pay more money for MW than MW2 right now, that crap is LAGGY, expensive and downright unrealistics, even UT3 is better than MW2

I've witness this stream of "I love COD over MOH". And it's just silly. If you prefer one game over the other then just buy it. But why you need an audience to agree with your decision is something I simply don't understand. COD:BO is in fact a direct clone of MW2. It looks the same and gameplay appears to also be the same. As for the PC version there is no information on what it looks like and if PC users will have "PC functionality". You know editable keys, AA/AF selection, mouse control options, sound options (as WAW had it grayed out for me) etc.

Another thing I notice is that console players get the Hardened/Prestige edition while PC gamers don't. No, it's not something I would buy but it shows you what they think of the PC community when they start excluding options like that.

^ well said eastcoast. Anyways it ain't reviews that will make me buy whatever. I can even predict COD will get 9/10 everywhere. Heck even MW2 had rave reviews although we all know how it wasn't 9/10 material.

Im comparing MoH to CoD because MoH was released before Black Ops to be direct competition, and steal some CoD sales ;)

The problem with that is, if BF3 comes out the way people want it to, consoles won't be capable of it, even with BC2, they only have 24 player servers. And MW isn't popular because of a PC following, it's mostly a 360 following, so BF3 isn't going to take back a sales crown overall, but who cares, BC2 is awesome, and BF3 will be too.

Tbh the best game for single and multiplayer for me was Call of Duty 2

The single player was great, really good graphics, and the multiplayer was AMAZING... there was no blowing holes in things and shooting solid walls to kill someone on the other side because you lack talent and a decent aim, and they had 1 shot guns like rifles which required quick reflex and good aim

Now in every multiplayer game that's being released today, they're fucking toddler proofing every feature to make sure even some dumb moron can kill someone, which makes it absolutely shit for everybody who actually likes competitive multiplayer and has talent when it comes to using their brain and aiming properly without having to rely on a cone of fire bigger than Paris Hilton's vagina

What the FUCK

Say Mike, you ever consider a job in diplomatic relations? ;)

I dibble here and dabble there

As usual, too little, too late. MoH was enjoyable, but far too linear and way too short! Can we officially say that CoD has the military FPS crown? I know Black Ops isnt even here yet, but if WaW and MW2 is anything to go by, its going to be far superior to MoH.

See the contradiction between that post vs your title/OP? Nuff said there. But in all honesty just get what you like they are just games.

Completely agree, I had loved BC2 then they patched it and made the hit boxes larger when they were just fine for anyone who could aim before. Now people barely have to lead their target since the bullets that fly behind the target now land. And people who aimed correctly before dont get any benefit.

The new MoH IMO just feels clunky, I hate it, about as bad as I hated World at War.

This is why CoD4 is basically the best competitive multiplayer game (if you're on a promod server obviously, the vanilla setup for CoD4 is just awful)... cos the aim only works if you're good, even if you're a tiny bit off it won't hit. Love it.

But end of the day CoD2 was the best, it's just nobody really plays it anymore... but if you want a combo of both CoD4 is the way to go

I dont get what you mean?

EA rushed out MoH to compete with CoD. MoH isnt that great, but even if Black Ops isnt great, it will sell shit loads, so what Im getting at is 'did EA think they could real steal some of CoDs thunder with this far from impressive title?" :shadedshu

No. CoD:UO was FAR better then CoD2.

Wow call me crazy but, wasn't this already pointed out, Medal of Honor was a GREAT title before Call of Duty. And why was that?!?! because the developers that created CoD were that of MoH... And to say that MoH is a less than impressive title is really putting your foot in your own mouth right?

As for the games, I think that MoH could use some help... and the multiplayer is broken. The delay is quite annoying and makes it a lot harder to actually hit something.

I dont get why your saying I contradicted myself?

Was and were mean past tense. Im talking about a title that is available now, not a past title.

My thread was actually about EA competing with Activision now.

Oh wow, some valid and interesting points there. Oh wait, no there isn't... you just said "this is better" and left it at that. I can see how that would be a decent reply.

I found it boring, especially the fact you couldn't shoot while jumping... jumpshots are a big part of competitive gaming, sometimes it's the best course of action

I own CoD, CoD:UO, CoD2 and CoD4... so I'm no mug when it comes to Call of Duty, but personally I believe CoD2 was the best overall

Jump shots are for noobs Unless you are playing quake. You want vaild points?

Bigger maps, Vehicles, Base assault mode are just a few.

FPS games start to fail when they started making it for consoles.

I agree, sad thing is, is they win at sales, so in their eyes it don't matter. aka MW2
